After seeing this on ESPN and Headline news for the past few hours, I'm starting too get a sick spot in my stomach anymore about Hockey.

Ya, I have had many people tell me that fighting is just part of hockey and it must be in the game, but after seeing this on TV and now a player has a broken neck after all this. I mean, isn't this allowed fighting just getting a little out of hand? Its just a game for god sakes! do we really need too have people get seriously injuried or possibly get killed because of this?

I really like watching and playing Hockey, but I just have problems getting into hockey anymore. I like watching hockey for the skills and strategy of the game. Am I just a dumb, weak idiot that just can't understand why their is fighting in Hockey?

I think that Bertuzzi/Moore incident was unnecessary, but what's done is done and it can't be changed. I know that Bertuzzi didn't intend on breaking Steve Moore's neck, but that's just how it turned out. It was a cheap shot, and he shouldn't have let himself do it. He feels really awful for what he did, because I've seen him in tears while apologizing to Steve, his family, and everyone else you could imagine on TV. I don't think your 'weak' or 'dumb' for not understanding why fighting is a part of hockey, because quite frankly, I don't think any of us do. It's just something that happens in Hockey, which shouldn't. Yes, sometimes we all like to see a good old fight-on-the-ice, but not to that extent. I don't think Bertuzzi is a bad person for doing such a thing, to take another guy's career into his own hands, because things happen. Everyone does stupid things from time to time, and that's one of Todd's stupid acts. I really hope Steve Moore makes a full recovery and will forgive Todd Bertuzzi for what happened. That's about all I can think of to say for now.
