It looks like the APFL is building towards 2005. Small steps may be a good idea. By 2005, the APFL may be competing with the NIFL.

Either way, more indoor football is great for the fans.

Yes, I agree, more Indoor Football the better. But the APFL needs too make it mandatory that the players are granteed pay, otherwise OSC will never consider them a true Minor league.

Who cares about OSC? What credibility do they have? They are listing the IFL and they have not even taken a snap and Paul mortgaged his home on the XFL.

Well, you're here. :)

I'll wait to see how the APFL handles 2004 before I get too up or down about their 2005 prospects.

The Koyotes seem to handle their business in a professional manner. I have heard very few complaints from players regarding compensation.
I know for a fact that Minutemen players are NOT compensated at all. Not only is their no compensation, most of their players are paying $30 to $40 per game to participate.

seems to me "coach E" has a grudge about his "short comings" and why he is not coaching indoor ball.

BTW, the minutemen held a tryout and charged $40, just like every Arena, AF2, NIFL and IFL team. I should know, I play for them.

Most if not all teams charge a fee for try-outs. Had you actually read my post, you would see the issue is COMPENSATION... not try-out fees.
Regarding my shortcomings- YOU and your team will have an opportunity
to reveal them for all to see in the very near future. I think you are probably still bitter about not starting when I brought my guys over for the Falcons game. 13 of 16 starters if memory serves me but that's water under the bridge. You'll see several of them at Topeka for your opener and then your fantasy is officially over. If you feel compelled to meet before then, I'll foot the expense personally and we will conduct another clinic.

This is all neither here nor there. No one really cares who is bitter at who, and who should be where. The matter is the advancement of the league to bigger and better things. This league will never thrive if the team in Topeka is getting paid and the team in KC is not. No competitive balance because the guys from KC who are good enough to play in Topeka will just drive over to play leaving KC with the left overs. In order for the league to thrive, all teams must pay their players. Why would a future investor want to allocate his team to a league where half of the teams are doing one thing, and the other half are doing another. I'm worried for KC, and not the team, the city. The Minutemen will play in Municipal this year. If the product sucks they will blow chances of future legitimate arena football coming to the area. As someone who lives in KC and loves arena football, that worries me. Market yourselves and get some sponsorships to help with the cost. No professional team should ever have to supply their own equipment and pay player fees. Keep that crap outside in the bush league.

Make no mistake..... The Koyotes have many quality players any APFL team would love to have. But there are many they do not have for reasons such as roster limitations, logistics, and lack of exposure. I have several of those players and we welcome the chance to test the "competitive balance". Leftovers VS Topeka

I e-mailed the Iowa Blackhawks and it looks like they will not pay players until the 2005 season. Hopefully they will still field a competitive team but it's hard when your playing for peanuts.
