I've heard so many rumors. I even spoke with the director of the Roanoke civic center. (She would not give me a straight answer). Does anyone know or heard of Roanoke joing next year?

I doubt it.
You need an owner for starters, and also from what I've heard elsewhere after the last two failures in Roanoke it would be several years before the arena actually considered getting hockey again.

Why would someone keep beating a dead horse. If Roanoke didn't support the ECHL then the UHL. Why would another ownership group try again. No matter how you slice it, there's no enough support for hockey. Let it die.

The same could be said for a lot of cities that get team after team. I mean look at Fayetteville. They have had so many minor lrague teams it is crazy. Time after time they bring in a new team and people start coming right back out. I am not saying by no means is this the right way to run things but there had to be a fan base there at one time and I am sure with the right ownership group they could get them back out to support a new team

Unfortunately in this case the last two ownership groups burned the arena quite badly. It'll be awhile before Roanoke looks into getting another team. (To be honest, I'm surprised the director didn't start laughing at the original poster.)
