It appears that there's still work to be done, but there are some items of interest.
http://www.niflfootball.com/content/teams
Such as some of the teams listed on this page. It looks like it's a work in progress, have to wonder where it's headed.

$300.00 for a jersey? Wow.

I know I promised to never post on the NIFL boards again, but I can not resist...
One has to wonder if someone hacked into the NIFL URL and posted this to embarass the NIFL and all it's teams. I would suggest I high school kid did this, but I would not want to disrespect any high Schooler to this degree.
To you few teams remaining in the wild world of the NIFL, is this where your dues are going? You too should be equally embarrassed, no wait, I have seen some of your sites...
To those that actually thought Cleveland Gary would make a difference, he did, things got worse......
OH well, just another chapter in the NIFL book... I think it is in the Mystery section of your local book store, make that the comedy section, it truly is a joke.

I'm not sure what to say at this point. One-sentence "stories" with the main one a desperate-appearing appeal for ownership... in late October, no less? Is the red carpet story an inside joke? Here's hoping the league adds more content soon so it all makes a little more sense. On the positive side, the league did remove some, but oddly not all, of the logos for the departed teams.

Speaking of logos, check out the "TEAM DIRECTORY" dropdown box on the left side for logos and names for some of the new teams. Here are some of the new teams listed:

Why doesn't the NIFL just try to make the teams they have solid instead of trying to land any arena that will take them. Indoor football is a good product but something has to change. It is almost impossible to start a team in late Oct or early Nov and expect to raise $300-$400 minimuim in 3 or 4 months. Winston-Salem is not going to happen. That arena has been burned by the NIFL before and Theron Davis is behind that team (same owner/coach of AIFL Carolina Sharks). The NIFL has a good product if they would just stop trying to sell everyone on promises and take care of what they have. Teams in Tampa, LA, San Diego, Ft Myers, give me a break. There are already other leagues there.

I think this gets back to a fundamental problem of the NIFL. It can't take care of its current teams without expansion. After all, how do you take care of teams as far apart as Tri-Cities and Fayetteville, Cincinnati and Beaumont and the remaining few teams in the league without reducing their travel schedules? Of course, this begs the question of if the NIFLshould be taking care of teams from coast to coast.
It is surprising how many teams they are attempting to place in markets which currently have indoor or Arena football. They include:
Atlanta - AFL Georgia Force
Fort Myers - af2 Florida Firecats
Fresno - af2 Central Valley Coyotes
Los Angeles - AFL Los Angeles Avengers
Tampa - AFL Tampa Bay Storm
San Francisco and Alameda - AFL San Jose SabreCats
The information that we've received indicates that Jacksonville plans to play at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, and Atlanta will play at an equestrian center in Conyers, GA.
Big cities look nice on a league roster of teams, but they are murder on advertising budgets. I hope some of these owners know what they've gotten themselves into.

IMHO, "Thoroughbreds" is a nice name for an equestrian center team!
And BTW Paul, wise decision to put them in "inactive/expansion". They might or might not play this year (We don't know).
One more thing, the LA Avengers are AFL, not af2 as you said in the above post

When the announcement is made (The NIFL is planning to announce teams in selected regions, hence the big Florida & California divisions).
All in due time my friend....

The NIFL can name all the teams they want, but I think it's fair to say that they will never all come to be. It's like the ABA on Astroturf.
The arena in Mason where the Cincy Marshalls are going to play seats 850 after phase one of the renovations. Are you kidding me? With all the arena problems last year, at least if they put a division of teams in Florida or California, one of them can play "host" for the season when the others play their schedules on the road.

One phase will seat 850 because of rest room additions and other needed upgrades. The Marshals won't have to add any at phase one....all of the other modifications will take place at phase two. There is no intention on only getting to phase one and stopping. That is just the order of construction.

The BULLDOGS never had their 'ducks in a row' before they announced. There was NO contract and they never played a game there.

I might be crazy but the new Los Angeles Lynx logo looks similar to the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. And the Port St. Lucie Mustangs is a copycat of the Milwaukee Mustangs, formerly of the AFL. At least the font looks the same.

I don't know about the Mustangs logo, but the Lynx logo isn't even close to Minnesota's logo.

Why are the Marshals doing all this? No offense, but I think most people will be flocking to the USBA for the AF2 product... Face it, the NIFL probably won't complete a normal season and we'll have all the same BS as we do every year. People will want to see the team that has a schedule set in stone and season tickets that won't go wasted (even if the team goes 0-8 at home God forbid).

The Lynx logo isn't close to Minnesota's, but the Mustangs logo does take their head & font from Milwaukee (otherwise original, though)

The logo theft thing isn't new to the NIFL.
Cincinnati Marshals:

Western Washington Vikings ( http://logoserver.com/US-NCAA-W.html )
http://logoserver.com/college/WesternWashingtonVikings2.GIF
The changes are as easy as flipping the face horizontally and filling in the gray areas with blue which I could do in Paint. Then they replaced the viking helmet with a cowboy hat.
I also believe the Shockwave logo is the old Yakima Shockwave logo being recycled.

For the 12 logos Paul linked on here, I don't think it matters where they came from. ALmost every one of them suck. Anyone could do just as well with fonts and clipart found on your computer. Sad move yet again by the NIFL. Still waiting for the "new" NIFL to show up. Someone PM me if you ever see them.

What about the use of the Lombardi Trophy on the site for the tickets to the championship game? This can't be good.
Also, which is it? Pelicans or Pellicans (logo).

Well, Australians spell it with 2 Ls but the American version only has 1. As far as the logos are concerned, I think it does matter where the logos come from. It's identity theft, plagurism, etc. This all just shows how inept the NIFL really is.

One thing we know is that the listing of the new NIFL franchises that appeared Friday is not complete. San Diego is missing from the list, and our info on them is pretty solid. There may be more information by Wednesday. At least that's what some of the teams have been told.
