"Guaranteed fight night", they call it. Really bad idea, considering the Todd Bertuzzi situation. Too bad they missed out on the "Blow the place up" promotion on 9/12/01. I always thought the Ice were a good franchise, but this is really stupid. Is the promotion going to be a free broken shoe lace and a night stick with the Ice logo on it. The sad thing is, I meant that as a joke, but I could see them doing it!

How can the casual fan, or the "not yet-a-fan" take the sport seriously when they pull crap like this. No wonder NASCAR has passed hockey by. Even the 'necks wouldn't pull something as lame as this!

But that's just my opinion.

I'm going anyway - no hockey in Cincinnati this weekend, so 90 minutes isn't that long. Besides, never seen an Ice game, so why not!

This is just another example why the Hockey world has no clue why it is killing themselves. Stunts like this do not make Leagues/teams look very professional.
