That'd be why Herb Fullerton sold the team to its current ownership.

It is very safe to say that the new/current ownership does not have a lack of funds. You do not open a new store/office in a mall, book major musical talent for your home games and spend money like they are spending it in Springfield if you have a "lack" of funds.

John, come on. You should know better.
This is becoming a joke. You go to a message board to get news and all you find is BS about everything and everyone. When a league that a team leaves says they kicked them out for a reason it is probably to cover themselves so they don't look bad. Get a clue.

Word has it behind the scenes, there might be a lack of funds for a new CIFL team in Illinois, wonder who that might be, and if it is true? I hope they are not like the other owners who burned Springfield the last time. Im bet Judith does not want to hear that so soon.
Probably not who you're thinking of. I'm guessing Chicago and with what happened with the UIF and Chicago, the financial distress doesn't surprise me.

Based on what it takes to enter some of the leagues that the Chicago team is involved in, I find it hard to believe that they have money issues. UIF expansion/franchise fees are chump change compared to the UHL and NLL. Someone hinted on the UIF board that the league was requiring them to pay five times the amount of the other expansion teams, so maybe that had something to do with them not joining.

Given Margenaeu's history in some UHL markets, I believe that money may be a problem.

So what is his history

Margeneau has owned 2-3 UHL teams in the past, and they all died painful, underfinanced deaths.
I suggest a web search for "Richmond RiverDogs".

Most of what I find suggests that his group puts the team together, runs the organization for a while, and sells the team.
He even bought the Richmond team back in an attempt to save the franchise. So to me it doesn't seem that it is always his fault.

Funny, from what I've seen his name usually gets greeted with profanity on UHL boards. Also, it should be mentioned that there were serious questions about whether the Chicago hockey team (which is the moved Richmond franchise) would be playing this year.

Time will tell I guess, I am not much of a fan of hockey, mostly baseball and now somewhat football since seeing some indoor games.

Well, he has owned minor league baseball teams and did a great job with them. He owned the Fort Wayne Wizards and it has not been run as well ever since he sold the team and it was never in financial difficulty.

Affiliated baseball teams have a tendency to do well. It comes with being subsidized to the hilt.
Actually, further digging revealed that I too should refer to him with profanity; he was in charge of Orlando Predators Entertainment (aka the group that sent Peoria indoor football into its long, slow tailspin to destruction). Since I've always viewed OPE as more of a group entity than a collection of individuals, I never made that connection.

So now we know why you are raking on him here.

I honestly did not know he was the head honcho of OPE until about 48 hours ago. That tidbit is incidental to the bigger issue of him having run multiple hockey teams into the ground.

If he has ruined so many UHL teams then why does the UHL keep giving him teams to run?

Short answer (and sentiment from fans). The UHL management is stupid.

Smarter answer: the UHL isn't developed enough to sell to better clientele.
Both are correct to a degree... but let's understand that one good multi-millionaire could pretty much take over that league, if so desired, and run it better.
