if you HAD to say which ARENA FOOTBALL LEAGUE you thought was the coolest, or BEST, for whatever reason, which would you say?

The best Arena league? Lets see I have 2 choices. AFL and af2. I'll go with the AFL.

'you being serious? none of the other Arena/Indoor Leagues factor in for you at all? do you not think any team from any other Arena/Indoor League could make a game of it with any team from the AFL or AF2?

No, not at all. It's just that you asked which "ARENA FOOTBALL LEAGUE" people thought was best. You limited it to two leagues without meaning to. I think that Billings could have taken on a few if not all af2 teams but no indoor football team can take it to an AFL team.

My favorite "arena" league is the LIMFA.

The Arena Football League is definitely the best Arena football league. The AF2 comes in at a fairly distant second, though I can see where some people consider them better run.
Indoor League wise, I'm biased, but I'd guess that it's up for debate pretty heavy.

i thought "INDOOR FOOTBALL" was more of an umbrella term, whether you play in a facility that's called such n such "Arena" or not.
2. why could an IFL team, for example, have no chance against say the Grand Rapids Rampage? i'm not ready to believe that just yet.

Look at the pay scale. Look at how many AFL players go to NFL camps compared to any indoor league.
To suggest that any indoor football team could beat any AFL team is simply ludicrous.

Agreed. The pay is much higher in the AFL, and obvioulsy we know where it is in the NFL. I think there is a good amount of talent spread through the indoor leagues and you might be able to comprise an all-star team that could possibly hang with an AFL team, but that would be it. I think league's need to make their focus to move up at least one player to the AFL for each team in the league. Not necessarily one person from each team, but one player for every team. If you have 10 teams, try to move 10 players.

i don't feel like i'm suggesting that. i'm suggesting that the OPPOSITE suggestion isn't realistic. i guess it's best though to leave the AFL out of the equation, because of the NFL connection you mention. i do suppose a CLINT STOERNER, for example, having come out of the NFL, would pretty much blow away the katt who threw for the Port Huron Pirates last season, but there's still part of me that says, well, maybe not...

False.

You'll note the UIF logo and article that they've moved to the UIFA on their homepage.

I also think the Arena Football League is cool. Tickets to AFL games are a lot cheaper than to NFL games.

What about besides AFL whos the best indoor league? I know the roughnecks from the IFL wolud give any of the AFL 2 teams a serious challenge.
Geoff

No, they wouldn't! Well, maybe they could considering there isn't an AFL 2, so they could probably win over a non existant team.
To be honest, I haven't seen the Roughnecks play and I haven't been able to see any af2 games since the Barracudas left Pensacola. I have followed both Indoor and Arena as closely as possible and I, as I would assume most other people on here, would say it's down to UIF and CIFL. I think the AIFA has a chance to step it up and easily improve upon the record of the AIFL. The IFL was looking to be a solid league even if the standard of play isn't the same across all teams in the league, but with the addition of Alaska, they look shaky to me now.

MAYBE the addition of alaska wil really help the IFL.

Why do people on these boards get so hung up on technicalities? I think we all knew that he meant.

How does exorbitantly increasing each team's travel budget help the league?

Perhaps because it's not, in fact, exorbitantly increasing each team's travel budget. Alaska Wild will be absorbing the added travel cost of the other teams.
I don't know that the addition of Alaska necessarily helps the IFL, but it certainly doesn't hurt them at this point either. I think the only one affected by the move is the Alaska Wild, which would have occured no matter what league they joined. And all that still remains to be seen.
The season hasn't even started yet. And I believe that the IFL has developed a good business plan for the Alaska situation. Let's wait until the end of the season before we pass judgement.

Ok, so it was removed but I had tags that said "[nit picking *******]" and "[/nit picking *******]". I used those to let everyone know I was being sarcastic but someone appearently removed them so, I apologize to anyone I offended.

I was discussing purely from a football talent and financial perspective...league management, I don't know enough about at the AFL level to make that kind of statement. But this isn't the first I've heard that the af2 is better run than the AFL.
