Dumbest trademark saying from the NWFA -- "Baby...look at us now."

Concentrate on what is truly important to correct -- league parity and minimum team roster size -- instead of stuff that has no value.

why the hostile attitude, budd?
ya got a large group of people who simply love the game of football, NFL-STYLE especially, they've got this chance to play, in a real national league, with cool-looking logos and uniforms, playing by NFL rules (except for two, ball size, and 'one foot in bounds on receptions') teams are often coached and supported in other ways by men who've either played for or had other close connections with the NFL and NCAA. what's up with a man like you having an attitude of no support whatsoever for something passionate and intense - and genuinely hard-hitting - like the NWFA? you seem to want to just completely discard it's existence altogether or eventual (it's only 6 years running) success on a much grander scale. por que, vato?
can't ya be a bit more egalitarian?

The time to worry is when you customers (in this case fans) no longer care to comment.

To put it in terms you can understand -- I care about the NWFA.

Games last too long. The league needs to use NFL Europe timing rules. Incomplete passes start the clock on the ready-for-play count. I want to be in and out of the stadium within two hours during the spring and summer months. I don't want to see a "city league high school game" approach the 3 hour mark just because the league wants to mimic the NFL/college 15 minute time clock per quarter. There's nothing wrong with having 12 minute quarters.

you seem to want to just completely discard it's existence altogether or eventual (it's only 6 years running) success on a much grander scale. por que, vato? can't ya be a bit more egalitarian?

Quite the contrary, I want immediate improvement not its demise, which by the way does not cost money to do what I am proposing.

Egalitarian? From Dictionary.com -- Affirming, promoting, or characterized by belief in equal political, economic, social, and civil rights for all people.

I think you used the wrong word egalitarian to make a point? If you mean I should be tolerant of teams with just 15 players that get beat 100-0 each week, then no, I refuse to be egalitarian. Let those teams sit-out indefinitely until they get the roster numbers and coaching to be competitive.

There must be standards to be passed to exist in the league. If you don't meet the standards you don't play or get relegated (soccer terminology) to a lower division of suitable competition like NWFA 2.

37 teams last year existed in some shape or form. I think 28-30 teams would pass my standards. We aren't talking about evicting 1/2 of the teams.

There must be a definable goal teams need to shoot for to be admitted into the schedule each year. Two or three weeks into preseason camp sounds reasonable when players must finally be able to determine if work/school schedules will allow them to play.

uh, No Sir, i used the word "egalitarian" with optimal deliberation. i used it because, as regards this topic, it is a word that certainly siginifies an attitude contrary to that of Institutional Misogyny, which is the attitude i hear, Sir, when you post something like your typical Right Wing-ed mockery and dismissal of the NWFA's new slogan/logo.
that was the post that got our little dialogue started, if you remember...

No reason to tread into political grounds for a discussion such as this one. Champion is free to post his opinion of the slogan even if it contrary to yours, and he has explained why he hold his opion quite well. Let's stay on topic.

"Baby...look at us now!" packs a punch only when the league has its ducks lined up in the parity and roster size areas.

"Baby ...look at us now!" sounds bush league when you consider the league still allowed the Atlanta Leopard team into the schedule for another year when the team ask someone from the stands to suit up for them for a game in order to have 11 players, the prior year!!!

CM is the Ohio State John Cooper of NWFA football. Great organizer in getting the initial interest started, but needs to step down when a different set of skills (creativity and vision!) are needed to get parity and roster size infrastructure in place.

I don't see the vision in CM's eyes. Changing the playoff format is not the solution to get a stable league. The move ignores the fundamental problem this league MUST address -- quality control standards for ALL teams admitted into the schedule.
