The ball looks pretty good. Also an MISL article said today three teams should be joining the league for the 2007-08 season. Monterery Mexico (don't understand why they are going back there) Orlando and Newark.

Blast owner Ed Hale announced yesterday that three new teams will join the Major Indoor Soccer League for the 2007-08 season, swelling the ranks to nine.
"The worst part of the soccer league are owners," said Hale, who added that he hoped the infusion would help change that. "We're adding Newark, N.J., Orlando and Monterrey, Mexico, and there's a very good shot we'll have three more teams in the near future to bring us to 12."
In two of the new venues, Newark and Monterrey, the owners also own the buildings in which their teams will play. For now, the MISL will operate with six franchises.

I thought Kansas City was supposed to return once the Sprint Center opened ... or are they waiting for that Olathe arena. It's a shame that stalwarts like San Diego, Dallas and Cleveland aren't returning sooner rather than later, if at all.
I don't think Orlando is a viable market. Who knows about Newark. And Monterrey already had a few chances.

Kansas City was not going to the Spirit Center. They committed to the Olathe arena. The only problem is, Olathe got cold feet after approving the building. It's been in a holding patter for more than a year now. It was supposed to be finished in the fall of 2007, but it hasn't been started.
While the franchise isn't officially dead, it's in a coma.
Right now, the Johnson County vote on a youth soccer facility, the precursor to a new Wizards stadium (which is supposed to be built by the new owners) has put the Olathe arena decision on the back burner.
