WOW, a big shake up has happened in the Quad Cities, Just a few days after the wheelers named there new head coach they announced they sold the team to a group of local investors. This is really shocking. I was surprized the Jim Foster sold some of his stock in the team a few years ago but now he is out for good. I would expect the team to have a name change and a whole new look for 2007 maybe this will help get some people in the stands.

Wait...first they announce Sean "franchise killer" Ponder's the coach, then Jim Foster divests himself of all interest in the team?
RIP Quad Cities...the 2007 season will be your last.
(And shoot, that's the last thing going for Saurs. What'd he do for a close rival for Peoria then? Green Bay? Louisville? ROFL.)

I don't know, Ponders seems to be a really good coach. He has a good head on his shoulders and the players all love him here. I think the wheelers will change their look big time and it will get this team going in the right direction again and the team will be around for a few more years. but it is sad to say if this team does not work out It might be the last for the wheelers.

Considering the fate of his last two teams (folded)...he doesn't strike me as the lucky type.

Well for my sake the the rest of quad cities I hope you are wrong. He is bringing back the old Special teams coach from 2001 coach biliduex sorry i am sure I spelled that wrong but he is going to be the DC here. He was kinda screwed over by coach Heage when he was here. I felt bad for the guy they treated him like a towle boy.
