.....where is this "so-called" TV deal that was being finalized?

Guess we know it must have been true that they just made something up to cool off the upset owners a few months back.

No I don't post this because I hate the NIFL, if it was never official nothing at all should have been said about it. As much as I want to like the NIFL, they just every year just seem to come off as a bush league in one way or another.

Oh, I thought they for sure had a deal with ESPN for a week 1 and Indoor Bowl game? Well, week 1 is less than 2 weeks away.

Been all quiet, I guess maybe they didn't expect people to remember what they said? With no talk about it at all makes me really think there "never" was any potential deal to get on TV.

Although I would have loved too have seen some NIFL games on TV, you are probably right about the TV deal. Etheir C.S. couldn't get anything through with a network, or it was just a bargining chip too please some of the owners in the NIFL too keep from breaking away from the NIFL. If I recall, it was getting quite messy around September when several owners where complaining about C.S..

I think a TV deal most likely would not work well with the NIFL mostly because its in markets that are just too small for the Neilson rating too even regestered. I mean, I like the Outlaws, but who else outside of Montana is going too care about this team? Now what the NIFL could do as an alternative is too have a special broadcast package with a Satilite company too broadcast games nationally (like the Dish Network or something) but it might be just too expensive too setup up that way.

I'm not sure which would be considered worse. Being a company, lying to associates to keep them content (fraud) or lying publicly to the fans, with whom you get the vast majority of your income from.

As is said many times over, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I was skeptical, but was hoping to get some NIFL games to watch on TV, but this is just sad.

I was told late last week that a TV deal will be announced. There was some dissatisfaction with the delay in announcing, but whoever is responsible apparently(or supposedly) knows what they're doing. I didn't ask any of the particulars, just asked whether there was going to be one or not, told them I didn't really need to know anymore until they announced it.

I did hear a rumor a while back that the format might be a little different and that the deal may concentrate on the playoffs this year!

I guess we'll have to wait and see!

If this is really true, its certainly encouraging. I can live with watching only Playoff games, or even just the NIFL championship. But I do agree with Sykotyk with this one, the NIFL should not have publically stated this too everybody on their website last September. Just makes the league look bad if it doesn't come through.

If their is a deal in the works, its best the NIFL not publically state anything until they are ready and have a solid contract.
