Have any ULB players been picked up by affiliated teams since the end of the season?

i dont believe anybody got picked up yet and that really surprises me!! there are a few guys that i think should get picked up. the one i feel is most deserving is ryan smith, the catcher for the aces. im not sure how old he is or where he has played but he really impresses me with his overall defense. he can definitely put on a clinic behind the dish!! does anybody else think any ulb players should be picked up?

That's a shame that quite a few of the league's players weren't picked up. Hope that the ULB has the information in the book before the first of the year.

What about Jason Crosland(san angelo), jose olmeda(edinburg) and edwin maldonado(broncos)? There were other good players in that league...what about them????????

Edwin Maldonado from the Broncos was invited to San Diego for tryouts with the Padre's. He is still there. You can catch up on him at www.laredobroncos.org We have discussion forums with updates on our players from last season and all of the other info on the team.

Good luck to him. Any of the players can get in touch with any organization and get a try out date.

word has it in aces land that ryan smith will be taking his rifle arm to tucson, arizona this spring with the white sox. he is well deserving of this chance and we wish him the best of luck.

The following players have been picked up since the 2007 season:

Edward Ramirez - Yankees
Kevin Bass - White Sox
Robinson Cancel - Mets
Edwin Maldonado - Astros

Edwin was picked up 2 weeks ago from us (Broncos) by the Astros and will be in spring training with them in March.
