Unless Jim Terry and his EIEIOFL are going to do a sequel to the Longest Yard:Inside Edition, he will have to wait at least 3.5 years to see Maurice Clarrett wear a Hitman uniform. According to the Associated Press and the Columbus Dispatch, Clarrett agreed to the plea bargain and will be sentenced to 7.5 years, but will have an opportunity for release after 3.5 years.

What about work release?

Clarrett is headed to the Big House and not Michigan Stadium. They don't have work release programs in prison. They have them for jail, but not prison. Felons don't get work release. So don't count on him anytime soon. But, the good news is that he has plenty of time to workout.

Jiminy Cricket came by to sing a song about a star, but he was crushed by moldy turf.

"Don't drop the soap,
Don't smoke no dope.
Better get a lawyer son,
Better get a real good one.
Better wear a suit and tie,
Better cut your hair way up high."
"Texas Jailhouse" by Jon Wayne.
Not since Mike Tyson has this much potential (and earnings power) been wasted. The moral here is stay in school and get an education. If you're good enough, the bling will still be there.

I listened to the last part of Jim Terry's webcast (first time visitor to his site). Jim said in so many words he still stand behind Clarrett because he brings a lot to the world of football.
Hmmm, didn't Clarrett (spelling) hold someone at gunpoint?
Apparently character in people is not part of the criteria in Jim's mind when choosing friends?

All JT cares about is getting his name in public. Clarret does that for him. Of course he stands behind his only shot to get press coverage.
