From the Long Beach story about the win over Las Vegas Sunday--

A two-game playoff will be played in Juarez next week. The winner will come to Long Beach to face the Jam in the ABA Championship game Mar. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

That isn't the three games a day format previously announced.

I am sure many of you won't be surprised.

Usbasket said that Vegas will play Jersey and Tijuana will play Fresno. I don't how they came up with that because Fresno shut play Jersey because of his ranking, but anyway I don't think Vegas and Fresno will show up. So KC shut roll over Jersey and wait for the winner of the Juarez-Tijuana or Fresno game.

Long Beach already said they're not going.

And if there's only going to be two games total, I can't think of any other way to do it other than #4 playing #3, and the winner playing #2. That would put Fresno at Juarez on the first night, and the winner playing Kansas City on the Saturday. That winner goes to Long Beach.

That's just a guess. Here it is the 1st, the tournament starts on the 4th, and we don't know what the deal is. Nice.

Jersey plays Las Vegas and Fresno plays Tijuana on Thursday.

Jersey/Las Vegas winner plays Kansas City Friday, followed by Fresno/Tijuana winner against Juarez.

Winners Friday play Saturday for the right to meet Long Beach one week from tonight.

Not to be critical of a league I have never seen play or anything like that. But does'nt anyone else think this playoff scenerio is kind of odd ?
And with rumors of certain teams possibly not showing up ?!

I am a big fan of Minor league sports. I believe they are what keep some people in the smaller towns of this country from going on rampages from boredom ! But what makes them a minor league team, is their Budget. And there budget is like so, because of the size and location of their town or city.
So If these teams In Las Vegas, and Kansas City, and Long Beach are not traveling or showing up at games thay are scheduled to play in because of the cost of travel. I think this league had better get some restructuring done before the league collapses.

Now, once again, I don't want to critisize or run down a league I have never seen play. Believe me, the CBA Playoff scenerio is just as rediculous. A 5 Game 1st round and then a 1 Game championship ?
Maybe they should make it a 3 game 1st round and a 3 game championship ?

I know that it has to do with the cost of travel.
