 As a some what new fan to these indoor leagues, I wouold guess that
the NIFL is bowing out. Wich is disapointing because Greensboro is the
closest team to me. May be some one knows a team or possibility of a team
popping up some where around western North Carolina. HELP LEFT ALL ALONE OUT HERE WITH KNOW WHERE TO GO!!!!!

I would not make that assumption at all. The NIFL has every intention of coming back. Whether it will have the ability is another question.

Well I am not sure if a team in Greensboro will make it in the NIFL or anyother league. it was nice to see another team close by in NC this year but things sounded rocky from the start. Hopefully Fayetteville will be moving to WIFL this coming season

blueridge, don't be surprised to see at least one more season, or portion thereof, of NIFL football with most of the same people in charge.

Why do everyone put the blame on CS granted there are some things wrong but it all dont fall on her shoulders if a new team comes in, and is given a game plan on how to market your team and you dont follow that plan or is not smart enuf to hire the right people for your sales team thats not on CS thats the owners. If you have a bad turn out at games thats not CS thats the owner for not marketing and fans for not showing up Im not a CS fan but i know sports and how it should be run There is alot of things wrong in the main office as well as the teams lets think back was the nfl or nba created over nite NO!!! shut it take ten years before they even look like a pro team two or three differt leagues at one time. So in stead pointing blame at one person find a way if you are a true fan and help fix the problem. I can tell you this there is alot of people that beleives in the Nifl and the playiers there are trying to help the nifl will be back next year with more teams. And you can take that to the bank and i beleive the nfl started off with over 90 differant team before they got too were they are now. and almost folded nothing takes off over nite things will happen but it takes true fan to stand behind the league throw its problem everyone else dont have anything else to do with there life but talk about other people problem.

Bear071,
How CS is responsible has been beat to death on every indoor football board. The person in charge is still the person in charge. That person is ultimately responsible for succes or failure. I guess you would buy all of Ken Lays arguements and let him off the hook also. If you are ever on a cruise you better hope the captain doesn't think like you or CS.

Bear071 for god's sake learn proper english before you go spouting off about the NIFL this and the NIFL that... I'm one of the people who think the CS has ruined the NIFL... You don't continue to bring perspective owner's on board that can't and refuse to pay the bill's... Jamie LeMunyan who owned the Tenn. and Mont. team's this past year is a perfect example...I could go on naming numerous other owner's she has welcomed into the NIFL with open arm's only to see them pack up and leave right in the middle of the season...
Your right if you have a solid plan and you stick to it you will be sucessful-- the porblem is there is no plan...everyone it seem's fly's by the seat of their pant's the majority of the time...the NIFL is a joke and it's most likely history as long as CS is in charge...

Yes Shiver is to blame, bear you dont know her but there are alot of people who do, Her partnership with HP in Rapid City this past yr goes to show, also with Pawonski still in the league after what he did to daytona beach last also, The NIFL is holding a GALLA EVENT DOWN IN MIAMI FOR $500.00 IF you want to go hang out w/her and those other SMUCKS. Sign you check, I"M A SMUCK ALSO FOR PAYING THAT FOR HER COMPANY.

Unfortunately, the NIFL experiences the same problems year in and year out. Every season we see cancelled games, broken promises, unpaid players and officials and teams which are virtual non-entities. The league has six years of experience under its belt, and its management nearly a decade in this game. It simply should not be experiencing these problems at this stage in its life. You have to look at the people at the top as the reason why. Many of us could cite dozens of examples of failures by league management, but all you have to do is read through some of the NIFL threads from this past season to get a good idea. Nearly a third of the league folded during the regular season, and close to another third (at least) will leave this offseason. That's not simply an ownership problem, it's a league management problem.
I've also spoken with several NIFL team owners and there are grave concerns over the direction of the league and its leadership, even among those who plan to return.

Seriously, is this in English? I don't post here a lot but I think bear071 is a part of the NIFL office and is (hopefully) dumbing it down to not seem so obvious... IMHO, of course....
Crap, his/her posts makes my brain hurt.......

Nicely skewed information. You didn't mention that many teams did their own marketing and their own plan and did better and have since left the league or are about to.

Georff, you are right. Another point to be made is that one plan does not fit all. The league should realize that the Katy Copperheads, operating in the Houston market, cannot use the same plan as that in smaller markets such as Monroe or Bismarck. One size does not fit all.

Amen to that. I've lived in both Katy AND Fargo (possibly the only person on Earth who can make THAT claim) and know enough about both communities to validate what you say.
Meanwhile, how about the NIFL already announcing EIGHT new teams in Florida and giving them team names before anyone even puts up the money to buy these teams? I sure as hell wouldn't want to buy what's basically a "team in a box" complete with logo, name, and everything else already decided for me. I'm sure most serious minor league investors are taking a quick pass on what appears to be a very gimmicky promotion to sell an indoor team like a display at Wal-Mart.

Actually, in most cases, all you're getting is a team name, as only two of the alleged franchises listed have logos already, one of which is recycled from a defunct franchise. And I wonder how much that's going to cost some poor ignorant fool? I highly doubt that building leases, turf, or anything else has been secured. My prediction; you shell out $25,000 or so to "secure" one of these team names, then it's "more power to ya" if you can secure a venue, etc. and you're pretty much hung out to dry.
I think this is just a "grab all you can on your way down" scam so that CS can fund one of her many lawsuits. I think she's perfectly aware that the days (and I do mean "days") of the NIFL are coming to an end.

Personally, I'd take that a step further.
No two markets are the same.
Size. Transportability. Competition. Climate. Facilities. Local flavor. History. All these things (and more) are factors.
