Check this out - www.arenajoust.com I know this has nothing to do with football, but hey, this looks like a full contact sport to me. This looks pretty interesting to me. It seems like people are starting to get into this Gothic stuff again.
Imagine what it would be like to get hit with a stick on a galloping horse.

Hmm... very interesting that some people want too revive this sport from Med evil times, but is this a wise idea? Not saying it wouldn't work, just that jousting isn't really a sport, its actually mild warfare. I mean, people have actually gotten killed in the past playing it and the idea of the sport was too actually inflict harm on your apponent. One of the most famous deaths was a French king (can't remember his name) during the 16th century where the famous Profit Nastradamus was beleive to have fortold that he would be killed in an Amature Jousting Match.

I suppose you could say the same thing about Boxing or Martial arts as dangerous sports, but I think whoever was too do this would need too change some things too make it much more safe then when it was used hundreds of years ago.
