All,
I know I have ripped on the ABA, but as I said in an earlier post, I cannot say a bad thing about the Frost Heaves. I attended their press conference this afternoon, and the way this organization is going to be run will hopefully add some credibility to the league. President/GM Alex Wolff, along with coach Will Voigt, are recruiting players who are not only good ball players, but they are good guys as well. During the press conference, Voigt said the team is looking at character first, then playing ability. The two that were in attendance at the press conference were well spoken, articulate, and polite. For the sake of the league, I hope the rest of the teams follow his example.
By the way, I am helping to run a charity event for a kid I coached in Little League who is suffering from Hodgkins Disease. Alex was one of the first to offer his help with donations. He really is a class guy and I hope he does well. I have ripped on the negative I see in the league, I just want to point out some of the good as well.
