As I seach through these wonderful message boards I am not surprised to find many fans who "state" that they are apart of the league in some fashon in an attempt to further boost their ego. The UHL is an exciting league and could do without the mindless banter and trashing that continues to plague these boards. Instead of being UHL haters, I wish for once that these message boards would be devoted to "fans" only instead of people that have an axe to grind and wish that the league would just fall on its face. Peace out.

I dont' see the anti-UHL bias you mention. When the league sees almost an entire division fold, yes, there are going to be some disgruntled fans, but I haven't seen anyone go out of their way to trash the league without stating why they have a problem with it.

I don't see these postings as disgruntled fans...but fans that care enough to take time out of their day to voice their opinions. And facts are facts
The UHL has become a laughing stock among professional sports.... Its a non stop gong show of lousy markets, inept ownerships, corruption, bad business.... these thing all come from the top.
Brosal has yet to admit to any mistakes, bad decisions or any other wrong doing... Its time for him to own up to this stuff, step aside and let someone else do it.
The least he could do is to come out and explain himself... but for him to even think anyone has bought the fact that the tapes don't show true corruption at league level....is absurd... he needs to go.. the league will never regain its reputation until he is gone....
Wait until the rest comes out....when the Galante court case is held, more brosal tapes will come out...you'll see....
The league will also lose its battle against the former Richmond Ownership. His same corrupt practices, stole the franchise and the league will lose the lawsuit... read the suit...along with the tapes and the emails in the lawsuit....you can see just how shady a character the commissioner is.

What will his excuse be when Chicago folds at the end of this season... Flint? Port Huron......Bloomington?
Come on Brosal...take ownership of your mistakes....

Anyone have any idea if, when this thing comes to court or how it turned out? I went to the court's web site, but I couldn't find the case anywhere.

The case will be held in Arbitration. league rules require arbitration. the judge ordered arbitration, but threw out the league arbitration rules because Brosal would be the arbitor and since that makes any fairness impossible as well as any of the other executive committee members would be biased. So the arbitration will be held under the AAA and will be in late November.
I also heard that Roanoke may be filing against the league for the same shady transactions....Brosal new long before he let Roanoke into the league that Richmond was moving to Chicago.
Brosal gets bonuses for every franchise that enters the league... doesn't matter if they make it or not. So count the franchises..... he goes for 2 a year. At the end of this season, they all talked about consolidating into the Central art of the country, seems to have quieted the worry about the teams folding. But now you already read rumors about several other areas they are looking into. Brosal needs to make his franchise bonus next season.
His house of cards will begin to crumble over the next several months.

First of all...I think its a bit cheeky to call someone a shady character, especially when it is most likely that you have never even met much less talked to the man...on another note...from what ive heard the Richmond ownership was essentially in default of most if not all of their bills...so thats why the league had to take it over in order to save the franchise...which makes sense to me...other than that I have nothing left to say except that its a league on the rise now that they have weeded out most of the bottom feeders that were dragging the league down...so I look forward to an exciting season...

HockeyMask80 the difference between you and me, is that you are basing your knowledge on what you heard.
Mine is based on the fact that I worked in the league for 3 years which included the Richmond years and spent many hours working hand in hand with not only the commissioner and his staff but with most of the governors. I know the Richmond case very well and know the league and how it operates. I know all the players involved personally.
So anytime you'd like to compare your gossip to my facts, I be interested in an exchange of information.
Couple more facts for you.... Flint is barely hanging on and had to be convinced to stay another season while they try and find a new owner. Why do you think they had to get Perani involved, confidence was gone and it would have gone dark.
Elmira will not be able to afford the increased travel and expense. Normal East Coast bus contracts were always 60 to 75K per season, each day on the road is $25 per diem per traveling player, coach, trainer, etc... With teh increase in travel range and now hotel stays, They'll spend 220K for travel, hotels and per diem.... Do yo think any other owner is gonna kick in to offset the cost? They don't make enough money to.
There is no way Chicago will be able to compete with the rest of the "real" pro hockey in town. Bet the commish still gets his franchise bonus though
Bloomington has even come out of the gate yet. They'll go the same way Columbus did. If they don't have at least 400K in corporate sponsorship and 600 season seats sold yet, they wont make the 2 million it takes to run a team. Bet the commish still gets his franchise bonus though
Wait until the Danbury trials start in November and all the rest of the tapes involving the commissioner are made public.

Sounds like another axe grinding...oh by the way....Bloomington already has 2000 plus season tickets sold ive heard....they have a great fan base already built up as a result of the first indoor football season in that arena...but im sure you already knew that since you know so much more than I do......

Sorry, not looking to grind any axes. just talking reality.
Personally I always got along with the commissioner and like him as a person. That doesn't mean I think he should be running the league. As a person he is an interesting, well educated and personable. That also doesn't mean that he hasn't made some very bad errors in judgement and may have to pay the price for those decisions.
I am as much of a hockey fan as anyone and would like nothing better than to see the United Hockey League prosper. I firmly believe that it will not prosper as long as the current commissioner is in place. There comes a time when in order for a business to grow and move forward, they must make several sweeping changes.
Its time for that change.....
As for your Bloomington information, you used the word "heard" again....
Definitely not claiming to know more than you only that my information is fact yours is unconfirmed. No team in this league has 2000 season seats sold for any season. Keyword Sold - not included in a corporate sponsorship. If tickets are included in a corporate deal, the dollars are booked as corporate revenue but many teams still like to book the tickets as season seats sold. Reality says you can't do it that way since you can only book the ticket revenue in one location not both. Lets see what happens opening night and the few weeks after.... Just like inflating actual attendance....
