the Sioux Falls Skyforce have Named Mo McHone as their Head Coach. McHone lead the team from 1995-1999 going 142-82 and making 3 trips to the CBA Finals (1996, 1998, 1999). Mo Mchone was the better choice, and I am glad that cocky little crapper (Dave Jeoger) is gone. he hasnt proved anything yet.

Mo McHone:
1991-92......Birmingham Bandits..........25-31....3-3 in playoffs
1992-93......Fort Wayne Fury.............9-20
1993-94......Yakima Sun Kings............17-15
1994-95......Yakima Sun Kings............36-20.....10-4 in playoffs
1995-96......Sioux Falls Skyforce.........32-24.....10-4 in playoffs
1996-97......Sioux Falls Skyforce.........47-9.......2-3 in playoffs
1997-98......Sioux Falls Skyforce.........31-25.....9-6 in playoffs
1998-99......Sioux Falls Skyforce.........32-24.....7-7 in playoffs

ALL TIME CBA RECORD: 229-168
PLAYOFF RECORD: 41-27, with 2 TITLES

"That cocky little crapper hasn't proven anything."

One IBA championship, 3 CBA championships. What's McHone got, 2 CBA championships and a few losses in the CBA finals. How can you possibly bash the hell out of Dave Joerger (your spelling was way off by the way) after he graciously came to your city and brought a crappy team to it's feet again plus a championship after 9 years without one???? Plus, what were the Skyforce last year, 30-18? That was one of the best records in the league, 2nd best to be exact. Remember how the Wizards went 19-1 against the Skyforce from 2001-2003? Who was the Wizards coach? Well I'm glad Dave is back in Bismarck where he is appreciated. I know him personally too, having talked to him at signings, championship celebrations (including the one in Rockford in 2002), a basketball camp, a house-warming party, and the press conference when the Wizards re-hired him. He's a good guy, an excellent coach, and nothing matters more to him than family.

Also, I remember reading one of your posts on the CBA Forum that you were not going to support the Skyforce if they move to the D-League. They get McHone and oooooh, you're the biggest fan!! I want to see him win some more championships too, then maybe I'll agree. But I'll never agree that Dave is an "unproven cocky little crapper."

Hey Eric, this is Bri. I completely agree with you on this post. McHone may be an awesome coach, but that doesn't mean Joerger is bad. Or as the topic starter said, "That cocky little crapper hasn't proven anything." The Skyforce were the laughing stock of the league until Joerger came.

The Skyforce were the laughing stock of the league until Joerger came.

Exactly. And I too agree that McHone has proven to be an excellent coach, but so has Dave.

I'm looking forward to the season! A new league and different opponents, should be interesting. I didn't like the idea of the switch to the D-League at first, but looking at the CBA right now, no schedule yet and almost every team from last season has folded up, I think the Wizards, Skyforce, and Stampede made the right decision! I can't wait for teams like LA and Albuquerque to come to Bismarck. And, a year ago I never would have expected the Wizards to be playing a game in the Staples Center, or even in California as far as that goes!

Dave Joerger is very much a proven commodity, and that is why chances are he won't coach a game for the Wizards this year. I know he has had a few interviews with NBA teams this offseason. Wouldnt surprise me one bit if you see him on the NBA sidelines in some capacity this year.

OK, i need to apologize for my idiot statement about D.J. i was being sarcastic and i messed up. Dave was a great coach. and i am sorry.

but the Skyforce were not the laughing stock of the cba from 1999-04. we still had one of the best run organizations in the league. we just experimented with some coaches a bit, and we got left in the dust. The Skyforce have always had the RESPECT of other league owners and the CBA and the NBA people.

again, i am sorry for my idiot post. i was just having some fun was all.
