AAFL team in Columbus?

After e-mailing both Ohio State and Crew Stadium, I found out OSU isn't interested in hosting an AAFL team, but Crew Stadium is. Thoughts?

Where did the short lived Ohio Glory play?

Jamie, the Ohio Glory played its only season of 1992 in Ohio Stadium. Columbus didn't have Crew Stadium back then. I like the idea of Crew Stadium, even if it is 22,000+ capacity, because those sellouts look good on TV no matter the size of the stadium.

If they put a team in Columbus I would rather them put in in Crew Stadium to see if it will work. If they are selling out each game and creating a demand for the product they could then consider going to the Horseshoe if they would take it a few years down the road.

at cew stadium is an excellent idea . along with purdue chicago (fire stadium) and eastern michigan university you would have a very good northern division .

Also, Crew stadium is part of a package trying to get the OHSAA championships moved from canton-Massillon to the state capital. If a pro team were to do well there it would help but I do not see that happening with an AFL, NHL, and minor league baseball (AAA) team all playing in arly spring.
