I received these through a source and was given the thumbs up by said source to post the following two files.

Wow, that's great stuff. :D
When will the PIFL be listed on OSC?

Speaking of that when will we see anything about some PIFL teams? It is time to show something.

If the PIFL happens, I would bet that we'll see something by the end of August. There are some teams whose seasons just finished, and some others whose LOCs are potentially vulnerable until the end of the month. It also takes some time to do some legal research and negotiate, not to mention due diligence. I'd start counting down one month from today.

I think one of the things the PIFL should do is require that all expansion teams show letters from arena managers stating the entire year's rent is paid up front. And that they should show proof of incorporation and insurance. And that they have the line of credit proving they can afford a season.
(Older teams that join don't nec. have to prove all of that. )
This kind of proof needed to then be forwarded to each city's local media. What good is paying the rent in your town going to do if the other cities' teams don't?
Have open house when the new turf shows. Stuff like that.
It's one thing to just say "we're gonna play every game." Show actions that prove it.
They should also state that "individuals that lose the trust of any municipal government, sponsors, and/or fans are not welcome in this league, ever."
A blacklist. Not that I'm naming names or anything... :D

From what I'm hearing Jerry Hewitt is no longer with the PIFL.
The material you posted is copyrighted. Are we to assume that you received permission from Chris Simpson to post it? If not, not a very smart move and very unethical.

I think yellowpages is right. Unless you received permission from the copyright holder, the PIFL or Chris Simpson, posting it could be a violation of copyright law. To be on the safe side for you, I'm going to take down the links. If you have permission, just let me know and you can add them again. If not, you'll probably want to take down the material. Not trying to be a heavy censor, but the we have to abide by the law. For the record, I don't believe you were trying to break any rules.

After rereading the copyright, I'd say you're right Paul. My apologies to the PIFL/Mr. Simpson. The links have been removed here and from my website. Might as well delete the thread while we're at it, Paul.
My apologies.

In this case I don't think there was much harm. 90% of what was in those documents can be found on the PIFL web site. Or you can ask me, I have a photographic memory. . . lol
FYI though . . . It doesn't matter how the copyright is written or if its even present on the document. Almost everything written by a person is automaticly protected by copyright law.

Found this update on the PIFL web site. Looks like they are putting together a solid staff at the league level.
http://piflfootball.com/
I had read the update after seeing others posting about it on another board.
Great stuff! This is being set up the way a league should be set up, and the way we've seen owners say that a league should be for some time.
It looks very exciting!

I don't think their teams look as solid as those in other leagues. I could be wrong but I've heard that teams are an important part of a sports league. This may be an area the PIFL needs to work on.

I don't think they have any teams yet.
They certainly are staying tight lipped. We haven't seen any more premature announcements on where they may be looking, let alone who will be playing in their league. It seems they are taking care who they're talking to these days.
The structure looks solid. I look forward to seeing what they have to announce.

Like I noted on Jerry's forum, when they get kicked off, I need to get a tape of games...I really want to see how the GLIFL rules look 8-man. We almost did it, but the 7-man format really did turn out well.

Everything looks word for word to me, except a few changes here and there
But yeah, PIFL needs some teams soon...

I think the UNO should be added!

Yea, it does look word for word. Wasn't there someone from the PIFL complaining that the EIFL took stuff from their website and how un-professional it was to copy other people? If I find the link I will post it.
That was easy enough http://www.oursportscentral.com/boards/showthread.php?t=3239

The PIFL has to annouce teams soon. Hell, we dont even know what areas the league will start in.
How can interest get started at all without any buzz at all. I know it wont start for a while, but, the media in general ignores these leagues and word of mouth has to start.

I don't think they have any teams yet.
I know that. There just are no sarcastic jerk emoticons. Else wise I would have used one.

Simpson and I have talked about it...no harm, no foul. It's a good rule set, really is. I hope the 8-man doesn't clog up the middle that was open a lot in the GLIFL.

The PIFL has corrected the issue and made an apology for the similarities.

And the GLIFL has accepted the apology. Our fans love the GLIFL rules. I think PIFL fans will love the rules, as well.
Unless they like 58-55 games every week...that won't happen.
