I'd sure like to have a local team to take interest in. As much as I tried, I can't get into following the progress of Rhein, or Barcelona.
And just a note to Mr. Reeths: Hey Paul! I remember you WAY back in the mid 90's when you were the only one posting news about potential new football leagues. As a matter of fact, the one that I thought would've succeeded in launching was a different All American Football League. Glad to see your sports website has evolved. It's a great site.

I appreciate the kind words. For those who don't know it, OurSports Central evolved from that page about new leagues on my USFL site.

No way Paul that was you! I thought that USFL page was someone else's and you piggy backed off of it. Major props, I referred to that mirror site many times. I liked the recap sections of the World League of American Football and the CFL ill fated attempt to head as far South as Shreveport, LA.
Speaking of Shreveport, they are far enough away from LSU and the Dallas Cowboys to establish a local fan base and aside from that one bowl game I can't understand why they built Independence Stadium. Demographics are there to support an AAFL team (I blame the Battlewings owner inability to spend a little money to make a little money for ruining any AF2 chances in the Century Tel Center). Call me crazy, but I'd also like to see Little Rock get a team because War Memorial is used for the annual Arkansas vs. LSU contest.

I remember (barely) the WFL;
I had season tickets to the Portland Breakers (what a blast);
I watched WLAF/NFLE games when they were available to me;
I even choked down a couple of XFL games.
The AAFL guys seemed sincere on their webcast and they have a respected pedigree as apposed to make-a-quick-buck marketing investor types.
I hope this works.
If not, I'll have to go back to wishing that the CFL will try South of the border again...
