No chatter from the outlaws and no chatter from Guard fans... Does anyone know if the game is a go?? Has the Guard left yet?? Will there be a bowl game? I leave to go out of town tomorrow so i won't be able to check.
If anyone has any info please pass it on..

Talked to someone in the sports department of the Fayetteville Observer. He said the team had not left yet but that he believed they had a flight later on tonight.

It's probably the calm before the storm. I have heard no different as for the game. Players are still flying and the game is still on, but then again I don't have all of the trusted sources that some have on here. I live over 2 hours from F'ville and don't get the Observer, though thru the years I have grown to dislike what they print. Too liberal, and they typically print before they get the whole story. Hey, that could be it, people are actually thinking while reading the posts before they say something on here. Again, silence can be a good thing.

I feel that the game will happen in the end. The quite might be caused by we are just getting thru with dinner(supper down here), you guys are just about to sit and eat, and Billings is just getting off from work. I am sure the board will light up when everyone is home.
BTW, has all the power came back on yet there? I changed hotels from near the airport to St. Charles when I was there last week.

Inside sources tell me Fayetteville has secured a charter plane, but has not left yet. Good news is the league did not make the arrangements; Fayetteville did. That means no sitting on the flight line waiting for a plane that will never come.
For the fans: It sounds like is it about the size of a 737. There should be a ton of space for fans that want to come. I bet they will work a deal if you get a hold of them. I bet they could use all the help they can get in paying for that beast of a plane.
I just want to get back to enjoying the games.
The top teams have all put on incredible performances throughout this year. I expect this championship game to be great if there aren't more distractions or hurdles.

I said it before, but it bears repeating. The sad part about this fiasco is that it has taken away from possibly the best title game matchup the NIFL has ever seen. In fact, the final four was the strongest that I can remember and produced two excellent games. When it's in the players hands, this game can really shine.

My source is no longer answering their phone so I am hoping they are preparing for take-off....

Ya everyone finally has power... It was the storm of the century just a few days before you got here. I was at Busch at a cards game when it hit and i really thought great this is it... I won't get to see the Rage... We had over 600,000 People without power for up to a week but the electric co. did a great job getting things under control. We had the Nat.Guard here to help out..Combine that with the heat wave of over 100 for 4 days it was a nightmare... But we are up and running again in the LOU!!!! Sorry you had to switch hotels.. But what can you do when mother nature wants to be heard....

The Guard WILL be playing, their flight should leave within the next hour or so. Please everyone (i.e. Billings fans) just keep in mind that the players had absolutely nothing to do with this fiasco. They are in this for the love of the game.....THEY have been ready to go to Billings since last saturday when they defeated River City. It is just unfortunate that all of these circumstances have arisen that may make them look bad when in reality, they just want to play the game.

FayGuard,
I can honestly say that I don't think there is a person on this sight that holds any of the players responsible. Everyone knows who is to blame. I hope the players have a great flight, get some decent rest and get ready to play one tough game against the Outlaws.

We look forward to welcoming the Guard team. We won't bring the pitchforks and torches, but the crowd might get a little feisty. This game is gonna ROCK!

Funny thing is, I don't think our players knew much about this whole thing either. I ate out on Monday and the whole team showed up at the resturant after their practice. They didn't have a clue about any of this. My seat at the game is right next to the Guard players at the game. (Actually, right next to Yellowstone). They will know that we love the game...not the leadership.
