Here was the very end of the article:
"The AIFL, based in Canton, Ohio, started the 2006 season with teams in 15 cities, including Rome, Ga.; Syracuse, N.Y.; and Richmond, Va."

Funny, considering now that none of those cities have AIFL teams now.

Out of the 16 that started, there are four left in the north and two in the south and I'm betting that's down to one on the south before long.....

Some do but several others don't. They look at the chance to be in the catagory of "pro football team owner" and the lure of making lots of money so people jump at the chance. As soon as they see they're losing money by the buckets, they get out of Dodge quick.
