In a long-rumored move, the Miami Valley Silverbacks will announce they are joining the GLIFL at a press conference Thursday at 1:00 local time. Owner Jeff Kowaczkowski also owns the Steubenville Stampede.

and so the exodus will have begun. It will be interesting to see what kind of summer meetings Andrew has. Who will be left by August12th. I'll predict Erie, Canton, Reading and Johnstown in the north. That could be it....Richmond is gone in the south and others may well be gone by then. Dadgum, it's along drive from Tupelo to Erie or Reading. Maybe his expansion will put teams in Paducah, Owensboro, Terre Haute. Maybe Jackson Tennessee Then, instead of a north and south, he'll have an east and west.

Who else from the north will leave? Will this league survive the off season?
With MV leaving and maybe Steubenville...would Erie and Canton follow?
The GLIFL may go from 6 to 14 teams in one season! That would be great for that league.
What cities in Michigan, Indiana or Ohio that do not currently have a team would be a good fit for an indoor football team in the GLIFL?
Could there be other expansion teams joining the league outside of AIFL teams changin leagues?

Steubenville is joining the GLIFL for 2007, also.

MICHIGAN:
Flint
Kalamazoo
Marquette
Traverse City
INDIANA:
Gary
Hammond
Ohio's pretty much tapped.
But there is one other GLIFL expansion team (not from any league) I know of joining for 2007. And though I'm not giving away the answer, I will give you a HINT:
It's in the Northeast (not even the AIFL is there)

I don't know of any arenas in those cities that could handle indoor football.

I believe that will be Baltimore.

I'm about 99.9989% sure it won't be Baltimore.

I believe that will be Baltimore.
The Chesapeake Tide are already in the league, they are very close to Baltimore.
