This weekend is going to be a dandy. First, we've got a Billings-Rapid City rubber match, and then we've got a much-anticipated showdown between us and RiverCity. Let's predict them...
ATLANTIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
(2) Fayetteville at (1) RiverCity- I've been waiting for this matchup practically all season. We got to play one top Atlantic team twice (and beat them when it mattered), and now we get to play the other. We haven't been on the road in quite some time, and this is a long road trip, so there will probably be some questions on how that will affect us. I believe we're leaving Thursday, though, so by the time gameday arrives, that shouldn't have too much effect on our performance. Now, the Rage are good. There's no denying that. However, we're on a mission, and the Guard I know wouldn't let that mission end here... Fayetteville 54, RiverCity 50
PACIFIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
(2) Rapid City at (1) Billings- 44-36 and 40-38. Those are the scores of two games between these two teams, with Billings winning both. Very close, as you can see. Rapid City will be out for revenge, and like we showed yesterday, there's no better time to get it than in the playoffs. Like the first two games, this one will be a thriller as well. One thing will be different, though- the winner... Rapid City 44, Billings 41

atlantic conf.
fayetteville 48, river city 40- there was no doubt who i would take here. like all guard fans i have the utmost respect for the rage. this is the match-up we've been waiting for. somehow on offense or even with defensive td's the guard finds a way to win. whatever defense shows up to play will decide this game, as it will slow down 1 of the 2 best offenses in this league. lets hope its the guard defense that does that. good luck to the rage and to their fans :).
pacific conf.
billings 42, rapid city 33- yes the 3rd time for rapid city to beat billings, but i think they'll come up short again and drop the 3rd in a row to the outlaws. my heart wants rapid city to win so we have a chance to host the indoor bowl(with a win) but my head says take the #1 seed. it would be awesome for us if this game went the other way but can't bring myself to say so(but ill stay optimistic). good luck to both teams and THEIR fans as well, should be hard fought.

This is kind of a toss up for me as I think we have finally gotten down to the meat of the tomato for the league.
My heart tells me that the Guard and Aces will win but in reality I think we are looking for travel plans on back to back weeks. Rage is a great team but if our "D" shows up early they fall behind too much and the guys in the secondary find too many Int's for them to come back. Guard by 12.
In the Billings game, they are too tough at home and the fans will keep them in the game, sorry RC but three strikes and your out. Billings needs to stay healthy and might use reserves, does not matter. Billings by 14.

I can say with all certainty, the teams that will win the conference match - ups and also win the Niffle Bowl.....will be wearing black helmets!! (Billings has some black on their helmets don't they?) Bwaa-ha-ha-ha!!!

Here's a tip- I'd pick a team with camouflage on their jerseys to win it all. But that's just me. ;)

The Aces have all black helmets so that won't work. How bout both teams in the Indoor bowl come from States that start with M?

No, I think the teams in the indoor bowl have to have 2 words in the name of their state. Sorry guys, maybe the M states can have an exhibition game for 3rd place. It could be the halftime show of the Fayetteville/RC Indoor Bowl. You know? Like those halftime games when little kids get to play a game on the big boys field. That's what it would look like. : )

Just because Fat Albert is the older than sin doesn't make him a big boy. We all know how small he plays in big games.
By the way I haven't made my predictions.
Outlaws 38
Aces 28
Outlaws defense shows the way once again.
Rage 49
Guard 45
Based on homefield only. Don't know much about either team

Guard By 21
Billings By 10
I love half of your post, and the other part, I'm not so fond of. ;)
Seriously, though... 21 points? I don't think we can beat a quality team like RiverCity by that much, but man, I hope so. That sure would be nice. I won't get to go to St. Louis (:(), so I couldn't handle a barnburner since I'll only get to listen.

Wow, only one person so far has picked the Rage. I guess I'll go with the upset: Rage 45 Guard 41.
People forget The Outlaws didn't play Dixon for the first half of the game in Billings. The offensive coordinator played QB: Outlaws 45 Aces 29
The states who need directions go down.

Ahhh, you are right but they did play Dixon at Rapid City and that went into OT. Plus, Higgs was limping around the entire game.
Now Higgs is healthy. This game will come down to who wants it more on the field on the day of the game. Homefield gives Billings the slight advantage. Rapid is the slight underdog. No way this is a 16 point game.
My prediction - Rapid wants it more. Rapid by one TD. This will be a defensive grinder.

Tbolt1, The only thing for sure in this league is that someone will win and of course your guys(Lakeland) are definately at home listening to this one on the net. Good luck next year. Drew.

Looks like someone's bitter. You guys just refuse to give us respect. Oh well, whatever. We beat you, and we know we're the better team, so that's all that matters to me.

That's a guarantee. It's going to be one heck of a game, no matter who wins.
