Great win for RC!!! I understand Katy had a lot of trouble getting up here and I respect what they went through just to get up here. The game time was pushed back so the team had a little extra time to stretch out and warm up. I have a lot of respect for Katy and the fight they put up! I'm sure it was not easy making that long of a trip. The only problem I had was with #4 Kailan Williams. He late hit our QB and grabbed his bad ankle. It was a penalty on Katy but that kind of play is not acceptable. Great win though and despite not having a kicker or Saldana, it was a good game for Katy. Our defense was just too strong and James Jones stepped it up. almost everyone picked Katy on here so it's nice to prove people wrong! Look out Billings here we come...I can't wait to get up there, it's gonna be fun!
It also looks like Cincy put up an ok fight. I gotta root for St. Louis now cause if the Aces make it to the Indoor Bowl St. Louis is the closest to South Dakota and probably the only place I would be able to road trip for the game. it's been fun though. GO ACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not too excited to play the Aces again. Not easy to beat a team 3 times. Outlaws will need to play better on offense against the Aces. The D was perfect tonight. The game itself will be great but the Outlaws will need to take it up a notch, but I do think they will.

The Outlaws will be ready as long as Salter is back. He is flat-out the most dynamic defender in the NIFL. His elbow injury took a lot out of our team and allowed Tri-Cities to prevent the total blowout by scoring gimmee TDs at the end. Billings "D" will be too strong for RC next weekend.

You think your def is gonna be tough? Look at our defense. Our DBs are gonna be hard for Dixon to pick apart. Points are going to be at a premium in our game next weekend because we all know your def is tough too! Just look at what we did to Katy once the box score is released...and the real final was 60-38.

Yes, our defense is gonna be tough. Think about this, Tri-Cities had SEVEN points well into the 4th quarter. If your defense shuts down our receivers, you will simply be watching Dixon run like the wind for touchdown after touchdown. Do they give out Player of the Year awards in the NIFL? There is only one and his name is Dixon. Over the regular season, he had 51 TDs and only 5 INTs. His total offense per game is by far tops in the league. And he missed 4 games! Yeah, we are spoiled...

In Katy's "defense", they had one helluva trip to even make the game on time. You guys should have shut them down more than 38 points. Sounded like a kinda sloppy game, lots of TO's. The Aces better take care of the ball next weekend. Should be a great game...again.

Yeah I will be the first to admit the passing game was not on for us last night but we turned it up running with Jones and Owens. If Higgs isn't on we turn to running, thank god we have james jones. If neither team can pass its gonna turn into a Dixon/Culpepper and Jones/Owens running showdown. And whoever stops the run is going to be on top. If the passing game is on though for either team its gonna be on the defense. Edwin Reed is back for us and he really stretches the Def. Your Robert Reed does that same though too...I can't wait I'm so excited for this one. Any word on when the game will be? Sat or Sun?

Aces, our tickets say Friday, July 21st at 7:05pm. Our venue can be confused, tho (see Osceola and Cincinnati), so I will verify. Our team is number one against the run in the NIFL, so you will need alternative attacks. I hope this doesn't turn into an 8-6 snorer. How is Higgs? We heard he had another ankle issue with a cheap shot. Are you making the trip to Billings? We always offer opposing fans a free beer prior to the game. Our fans are hospitable, our team is not... =)

Higgs took a cheap shot and that may have thrown him off a little but I think it was no more than a sting to his ankle. He was walking better towards the end and didnt have to put much pressure on it thanks to the running game working so well. He should be 90-100 percent. I think Higgs and are WRs are always going to be strong, it's just going to be up to our defense to make some big stops. Same to you as well.
I hope you are wrong about the Friday game. I can make a Saturday game but Friday would be a no go, unless I can get "sick". (Damn jobs). And I appreciate it! I would love to hook up before the game. Billings seems to have great fans and as long as we are around we could be at the beginning of a great rivalry with the two teams! I'm sure I will be able to get up there for many more games and you down here as long as we are in the same league or existing for that matter. Thanks for the info! The news here is either Friday or Saturday so I'm gonna pray for a Saturday game but venues are tough to work with. Either way i'm pumped for this one. Hell, I might even get to save some money for the big indoor bowl trip i wll be making in a couple weeks. ; )

Congratulations to the Copperheads on a great first season. I applaud your organization for not letting the challenges of running an indoor team stand in the way of honoring your commitments, playing your games and letting things being decided on the field.
I hope Cincy/ Osceola is the last of the controversy with the playoffs and the NIFL. We shall see.
Good luck to the reamining teams. Lakeland and Fayetteville could be the best game of the playoffs so far. I can't wait to tune in.

Well said viking. I hope the NIFL figures it out and gets an entire field of teams who can play every game and be successful. I also am a fan of listening and watching video highlights of as many games as i can. Tri Cities is about the only team I have seen consistently run video highlights and run webcasts. Do you know of any other teams who post video game highlights? Below is a link to highlights from a local new station from lasts nights game in Rapid City if anyone is interested. Thanks!

Go Aces, I am not aware of any video highlights other than yours. Several teams broadcast their games on the web. Do you know if there is any way to listen to the Fayetteville/Lakeland game? Neither of their websites has a radio affiliate.
We are down to the best teams in the league. I thought Osceola could have been a sleeper, but that was foiled. The remaining 5 teams are very well matched. Strong offenses and defenses. The only team that has a big edge in any department over any other team is Billings legal staff.

Lighten up Outlaws fan. I like your team. I was jokingly referring to the fact that your legal team is undefeated this year against the NIFL and Osceola over the naming rights. It was actually a compliment.

NIFL site still has not reported the final score or a box score for this game. Perhaps it doesn't matter? Perhaps Katy will move on? Perhaps the NIFL playoffs are about to get even more lame? who knows...anyone with any info?

The final score is posted. It does say "final" at the bottom and there were video highlights on the Rapid City website. For whatever reason the total score is correct but it does not show the 4th quarter scoring and no stats are posted yet.

Viking: Sorry about that. I totally misunderstood your intentions. There was another person who insinuated the Outlaws hadn't paid their dues to the league, didn't file their paperwork, etc. I figured it was more of that BS.
I also would like to see the NIFL be a little more punctual on the scores postings.

Outlaw fan,
I was hoping to be able to hear the lakeland /Fayetteville game, but apparently they do not broadccast. How was your attendance for the Tri Cities game?

Viking, the final score was 60-38, not 38-26, so at the very least, someone fell asleep before the game was over and doesn't feel like reporting the final score.......

Thanks. I noticed the actual score on the video highlights. They have nice TV news coverage.

I don't know of any webcasts for the Guard or TBolts. Guess we will have to continue looking that the sorry excuse of a website the NIFL runs. Looks like the person woke up to update the score of the Guard up 20-12 at the half but still no final box score on Rc/Katy game. I can tell you we rushed for almost 200 yards with 2 players but passing was not our best. Oh well it was a win!
We have always had pretty good news coverage for all of the minor league sports here in Rapid City (when we have teams). I was impressed at the coverage we had through all of our legal issues this season and they always reported the correct news through all of that. We lost our radio deal so hopefully that will be picked up and put online. I love listening to games and hopefully more teams do so. Here is a pretty cool site for webcasts for all sports..great for the office if you have to be stuck at work during a game.

How has the attendance been elsewhere? I was still not impressed with ours. Oh well the 2500 fans that showed up make a lot of noise so I guess I can't complain. Seems like everyone else is still getting more to show up.

3200. Not bad considering a Saturday night game when it was over a 100 degrees outside. There was a bunch of other activities going on in town this weekend. Should be a better turnout for the next game.
Looks like the Guard won going away after a slow start. Those 2-3 week layoffs before the playoffs makes for a rusty start.

The NiFl reported on their site last week that Oseola won by forfiet, then changed that2-3 times during the week.. why wouldnt they pull something crazy with the katy/ RC game.....
