Update on Katy. Because of transportation - bus problems the team had to rent 5 or 6 minivans and just left Katy at 8:30pm, (yes that's right 30 minutes ago). The game is in 22-1/2 hours from the time they left. I checked Mapquest and depending which route they take the trip will be between 1400-1500 miles. Driving time between 17-23 hours. Really don't know how they're going to pull this one off. The place kicker Whitney Hillin is not making the trip due to a conflict with work, think his company is sending him out of state on a job and leaving first thing Monday, so he couldn't possibly be back in Katy in time to make his flight out. Aces haven't had a kicker all season so this will be an even match with no kicking game to speak of. I wish Katy all the luck on their trip to S.D., actually if they make it in time I don't know how they're going to be able to walk much less play a game!

WOW, that's going to make for a very interesting trip... and I HOPE they are able to pull of a big victory. I've been very impressed with the Copperheads organization over this season.

And I thought the Guard was the only one with bus problems. I hope though our guys have at least had the bus checked. Should we win and the Rage wins they have a trip of about 12-14 hours next week to St. Louis. Good luck Katy, RC will be tough.

I was also told there was some hotel problems, something about a bike rally? and the plans were for the team to sleep in the Bus on the way home... How is that going to work since they are in 5 mini vans... and heck, I would have volunteered to drive to Houston and drove one of the vans for them.. If that would have gotten me to the game

That's crazy about the bus situation. Yeah it's 102 out here and getting warmer! It's gonna be packed at the arena tonight so good luck! Hillin not making the trip is awesome, thats how we lost to Billings. They had a kicker and we didnt so we got screwed. Should be even now! Not sure about the hotel rooms...the bike rally is beginning of August. Oh well, they can all sleep on each other's shoulder in the mini vans.
