Well, we know the Capitols aren't.

But anyway, this whole thing is complete silliness - the playoffs,
the league, anybody who runs this poor excuse.

It doesn't matter anymore, whoever plays the Rage will lose.
By now, all vacation time, personal time have been used up by
the players, work schedules moved around, etc. Do you think any
player is "UP" to play now, after all of this crap.

The Marshals or Osceola, it doesn't matter, just give the Rage
the forfeit win, like most of the league games lately.

All this has done in the Cincinnati area, to most of the public, is
reconfirm what a joke this league is. I think this has done as much
harm to the team as what happened last year. If they have a team
next year, I think they will have a hard time finding players.

The release to the paper yesterday was probably a "joke" from the Cincinnati organization. A chance to get a dig in at others who do take their organizations more seriously.

Cincinnati treated their membership as a joke, and that's what we all get from it. The home team was competitive, the road teams usually weren't.

That's too bad, one of the best stories from indoor football last year was the effort put out for their home playoff game. It left many of us rooting for good things to happen with the Marshals. Too bad people running it don't take their franchise seriously.

Situations like this are why they call the NIFL a joke. When the member teams appear to be a joke.

It's too bad for the real teams, the class organizations in the Tri-Cities, Billings, Wyoming, River City, Katy, Osceola, Lakeland, Fayetteville, Beaumont and those that have worked so hard to straighten things out in Rapid City and Montgomery.

Everything on the league website still indicates that Cincinnati lost by forfeit and is done for the year.

And yes, I know that the league site isn't the place people usually go to look for facts. But that's what it says right now.

If that was a FACT, wouldn't they reply to the multiple phone calls and e-mails that they have received over the course of the last two days?????

This is all a big F_________ mess! I want to know which team I'm going to be watching in St. Louis this weekend. I'm hoping its the Marshals!

We now know that this whole issue did not originate in the Marshals office. It came straight from the NIFL. From today's article:
NIFL commissioner Carolyn Shiver said she didn't know who would travel to play RiverCity, and that it was a "coin toss" between Cincinnati and Osceola.
Shiver held a conference call with legal counsel late Tuesday that would decide the fate of the two teams, she said.

And

Hortman said Cleveland Gary, a league spokesperson, promised him Tuesday the Marshals would play. When reached by The Enquirer, Gary could not confirm what he told Hortman and did not return multiple phone messages.

The NIFL told Cincinnati they were in, and the Marshals told the paper. Doesn't appear that anyone told Osceola.
