Alright, now the real fun begins...
ATLANTIC CONFERENCE
(3) Lakeland at (2) Fayetteville- Some of you might want to call this the best matchup of the divisional round. However, with the inconsistency that Lakeland has played with lately, I don't expect this game to come down to the wire. I doubt it will be a blowout, because Lakeland certainly isn't like the little-league teams we've been playing lately. Still, we'll get the job done, and avenge our only loss of 2006... Fayetteville 62, Lakeland 47
(4) Osceola at (1) RiverCity- I'll be rooting for an Osceola win in this game, of course, so my Guard can host the Atlantic Conference championship (if we win, as I've predicted). However, when it comes to making a prediction, I just can't go with my heart over my mind... RiverCity 68, Osceola 51
PACIFIC CONFERENCE
(3) Katy at (2) Rapid City- This is the most important game for Katy in their young history so far. If they take down Rapid City, who has proved they are definitely vulnerable, they'll prove to everyone that they're for real. Plus, they still have a 40-point blowout loss to avenge. Unfortunately, I think they're going to fall just short... Rapid City 48, Katy 42
(4) Tri-Cities at (1) Billings- That solid win over Wyoming last night was crucial for Tri-Cities, who is trying to bounce back from a pretty bad last couple of weeks. A nasty loss to Billings was one of the reasons why these last couple of weeks have been so bad for Tri-Cities. You know I want Tri-Cities to win, not because I hate Billings (of course not, our fan bases have become buddies on here), but because I want my Guard to host the Indoor Bowl if we get there. But, once again, can't go with heart over mind... Billings 64, Tri-Cities 45

I see Fayetteville over Lakeland-52-48 I see it as a very close game
I'm hoping for Osceola over River City-56-53 Just so there can be a slim chance of home field advantagefor my fever
Unfortunately I see Rapid City over Katy 62-56(sorry copperhead fan)- But I'm hoping I'm wrong
Tri-Cities Fever over Billings- close hard fought game- 48-45 I'm hoping to keep the streak going and a little pay back for the 2 loses to Billings this year-
But remember the Fever won 3 straight road games last year (2 verus undefeated teams) to get to the Indoor Bowl and win it all

ATLANTIC CONFERENCE
(3) Lakeland at (2) Fayetteville
This would have looked like a good matchup about midway through the season. Since then, Fayetteville has been a good example of dominance. They crushed the Maulers, the same team that came within a touchdown+2 pt. of advancing past the Lakeland. I'll leave it at that.
Fayetteville 73, Lakeland 55
(4) Osceola at (1) RiverCity
Osceola was my early season prediction for the Indoor Bowl runner-up. Oh, how times have changed. River City is a force to be reckoned with. RIP "Football".
RiverCity 62, Osceola 44
PACIFIC CONFERENCE
(3) Katy at (2) Rapid City
Rapid City was my pick for the Indoor Bowl champ until they started playing real teams. They have probably been worned down by score 10+ touchdowns against teams like Lincoln and Big Sky. It didn't help that they still had to play against teams like Billings and Tri-Cities. Katy has always seemed like a good team and should win this game but not by a large margin.
Katy 54, Rapid City, 49
(4) Tri-Cities at (1) Billings
Tri-Cities showed they are still a strong team even without their coach. However I think Billings is too strong to lose.
Billings 51, Tri-Cities 42

What in the world? This is just crazy. Heck the way things are going we might be playing Lincoln or Ark. lol Like you said Ragefan, how can you get ready for two teams. Well if it is Cincy, least we have played them twice this year. I guess we as fans will find out Sat. around warm ups and see what team we are playing. Just like to say to the Rage organization, get out now while you can, this is only hurting the fan base.
And for my predictions. Katy over Rapid
F'ville over Lakeland
Billings over Tri
River City over (insert team here)

This is another example of where league instability has the potential to hurt a good, well-run team. St. Louis is a major market, and this is going to look completely Mickey Mouse to the press there if it isn't cleared up asap. The Rage do all they can, and the league makes a mess of it. Latest word we have is that Osceola has all its travel arrangements made to play at RiverCity Saturday and have made no plans to change them.

It's hard to believe all of the talk on here about the game in St. Louis. I guess I have missed something somewhere. My picks are as follows, and I am sticking to my heart, as the man said "It takes heart to win games, and if your heart's not in it, then it's time to leave the game.", Besides "It's the reason girls don't play the game."
F'ville Guard 58 Lakeland T-bolts 42, revenge will be sweet.
Katy Copperheads 52 Rapid City 47, too much D for the Dakota boys.
River City, wins by default, no one seems to want to travel to the Gateway.
Tri-Cities 56 Billings (True Outlaws) 51, hard to beat any team three times.
I know some of you think I am crazy, but I have to still have hope in all of this, but I know that on any given night any team can be beat, including the Guard. Good luck to all, and as always, GO GUARD, GO Osceola !!!!!!!

pacific conf.
katy 46, rapid city 42- i truly think this is the sleeper team of the pacific conference. i know rapid city is an awesome team all around but my gut instinct tells me that katy escapes with a win and keeps their playoff run going.
billings 53, tri-cities 39- i know i know, im playing with fate again here going against the defending champs, but this time their on the road and they are hooking up with the #1 seed in the nifl. i was skeptical to predict a 2 touchdown win, but i feel that billings is ready to play and possibly make a big playoff run as well. my heart won't break if im wrong here since a loss by billings opens the door for fayetteville to stay home all the way through(if they help themselves) but at least for this round right now my head says dont pick against the top seed.
atlantic conf.
river city 55, cincinnati 30 or river city 48 osceola 40- no matter who river city faces i think they'll win. i think it will be a more competitive and closer game if they get osceola, hopefully this gets worked out soon for all 3 teams sake. of course just like above picking the wrong winner wont bring me to tears since it keeps us home another week(with a win) but i think river city will hold true to their top seed and host the atl. conf. championship.
fayetteville 50, lakeland 38- the game ill be at on sunday. the bad thing about this game being on sunday is one extra day having to wait for the game as opposed to all the saturday games we had at home, the good thing being we'll already know our fate as to who comes out on top on saturday in river city. my first thought in my head is i hope we jump all over lakeland and drive them into the ground and get retribution for our only loss(or like we use to say back home "kick their d*** in the dirt" lol. only problem is we have no dirt at the crown. either way i think lakeland will come to play and all signs point to them not rolling over(which im sure they wont) but i have all the confidence that we'll come out on top and either stay home or make the trip to river city.
ps: any 'bolts fans making the trip here for the game? if any of you are, good luck on sunday and have a safe trip up and back(win or lose) :)

Bolts fan here, I wont be traveling to the game but just hope its a good game. I know the win over the Gaurd in Lakeland was, but yeah Lakeland has been hurting since they lost their best Lb/Db in Lance Small, who was leading the team in tackles before partially tearing his ACL. They looked great in the first half last week but slid in the second. I guess we will see if they got it straight in practice this week. Good luck to both teams

Might as well throw my predictions in here...
Atlantic Conference
RiverCity Rage vs Marshals - Rage by 24, Cincy puts up a better fight than people think. It's how you show up for this game, not how you played the rest of the season but Rage easily win.
Fayetteville Guard vs Lakeland Thunderbolts - Guard win by 7 on the last play.
Pacific Conference
Rapid City Flying Aces vs Katy Copperheads - New team this, new team that. Yes Katy is better than when we last faced them last but have you looked at our roster? AJ Street, Sonte Wong, Mike Riggell all new WR for Higgs and all have gotten familiar with each other and Edwin Reed returns for the first time in almost 2 months! Also our defense is going to stop the run. I'm also beginning to think no one in or around this league understands how football works. Everyone says we are coming off of a loss and that will hurt us...we had the #2 seed wrapped up going into our final game and we lost to Wyoming but half of the team didn't even make the trip and only 2 practices before the game to keep everyone healthy...that's what you do in fotball!!! Everyone back and 100 percent.....ACES by 14
Billings Outlaws vs Tri-Cities Fever - Fever got it by 10.
Good luck boys! Regardless of what happens I think the final 8 deserve to be there and a league with just these 8 teams would be pretty sweet...anyway good luck all!
