I was doing some browsing last night, and found that the Stallions have UIF teams shown on their site.

Not sure if that means they are joining, but it sure looks that way to me.

They're supposed to be, but haven't made the move official yet.

What league are they in now? I don't recognize any of the names. Are they just a "travelling" team right now, playing exhibitions?
In anycase, that would make Springfield and the Sears Centre team in for 2007, with the rumors being Peoria out. Any other word for UIF in 2007?

The Springfield Stallions were part of the 8-Man Football League that started its 10-game season in mid-February with teams located throughout Illinois. Most teams in the 10-team league played their games outdoors, but Springfield and Pekin played indoors. A 2/1/06 article at sj-r.com reported that the Stallions hoped to join the UIF or NIFL next season. A 2/26/06 article at sj-r.com reported that the Stallions were using some of the equipment that was left from the failed attempt to bring an Indoor Football League franchise (Springfield Slayers) to the city in 2001.
Other teams included the Bushnell Warriors, Captial City Outlaws (Springfield), Central Illinois Chargers (Peoria), Jacksonville Sharks, Macomb Mayhem, Metamora Gamblers, Mid-State Thunderbirds (Peoria), Pekin Dominators and Tazewell Tigers.
