Anyone else think that the San Angelo uniforms are just plain ugly? :p

Maroon dominate with yellow numbers that I saw last year were nice...this mustard theme they have going on (are those the away uniforms only?)....ugh.

The way I understand it, San Angelo wears the same uniforms for both home and road games. The owners of the team own Bug Express Pest Control, which also sports the maroon letters on dominate yellow colors as can be seen at their website.

But I agree with you, it is pretty hideous, at least for a football uniform.

I wondered what was going on, because those were the Swashbucklers' away jerseys. They usually were black at home.

Who do you guys think has the best jerseys?

I'm not being a homer, but I really do think the Roughnecks have the best.

I like the Swashbucklers' logo on the their helmets and I like their color combination of black, purple, and silver, but I hate their away jerseys. I like their home jerseys, though I don't think they are anything special. As to the rest of the teams who have come to Lake Charles I think you can toss a coin ... except for San Angelo. It's hard to screw up a whilte, away jersey, but somehow the Swashbucklers were able to do it. But if I had a gun to my head I'd probably give the nod to the Hammerheads; mostly for their choice of fonts for their numbers.

They've shut down their discussion board on their web site. Maybe the truth hurts a little too much.

Quit picking on Angelo. We don't want to lose the Stampede in the IFL. I sincerely hope they get better next year and draw fans out the wazzou. San Angelo deserves a good exciting team.

Maybe they just didn't want the hassle of having to moderate message board traffic. Odessa put a link to a Roughnecks message board on their sight but it ended up getting hacked. So they removed the link. Don't jump to conclusions.

I wouldn't knock San Angelo at all ... except their yellow jerseys. They are a pretty good team already, just extremely inconsistent. They may have only won three games so far, but they have beaten Louisiana and Odessa ... both teams well above 0.500.

They beat Odessa when they are resting people and it was SA's last home game.

Didn't jump to any conclusions. They did the same thing last year when the owners where getting ripped pretty good. It's become their pattern.
