What's up with the boys in St. Louis? Looking for the scoop on these guys - Surely as messed up as the NIFL they have to have the NIFL flaws too? They seem to be to perfect - they are in every event in St. Louis and the players I have had the pleasure to meet and my kids get autographs from have been outstanding individuals. Can a team that has NO flaws really be in the NIFL? Owners seem to be doing what is right? Looking for the dirt on them - is there any? Or is this team for real? Will they remain in the NIFL? Seems like they are for REAL!

I think they are the real deal...

Most of that is due to the coaching staff and the players themselves.. They show nothing but respect for their fans and truly love the game. They are taught that from day one of pratice. No team is perfect but these guys are very well coached and are very disciplined both on and off the field. They do alot of promotions around town and are always willing to help out any charity.

I have had the pleasure of meeting both the players , the coaches and the owners... They are a great group of people. Hard to believe but these people truly are tops in the NIFL. The owners really seem like they want to make this team a top level team and are going in the right direction to make that happen.

Here is to a great group of people... The River City Rage ....

The same goes for us. The whole organization is just a class act, and you never hear about controversy with us. What a nice, refreshing change for Fayetteville sports. I'd say the standings in the Atlantic Conference this year reflect the top Atlantic teams off the field as well. I'm thinking the us, RiverCity, and Lakeland will be on to better things next year. And when I say that, I mean, getting the heck out of the NIFL.

i would say you guys have a lot of passion for your team as well...That is evident by your season thread...Maybe to passionate at times

It is such a shame that some bad owners and teams get into this league. This could be a really good league if it was just run better.... I heard when CS sister ran the league it was done right but since CS took over it seems like she is just in over her head and refuses to seek help.

Maybe when no one is left she will realize she should of done things differently.

I concur with both of you guys. Our teams are the tops, it's just a shame about how the league does things at times. Of course we might not have the whole story. It would be really nice if the NIFL office would post and explain how and why they did things. I would also like to see the so called by-laws. These by-laws should be public record or something so we knew for sure when a team was being screwed or not. Just my opinion but it would help answer some questions that have came up this year.

Ragefan, good luck next week but you my heart is with the F'ville Guard so I will be pulling against you as I am sure if you were in our shoes you would against us. Who knows I might run into you in St. Louis if we both make it that far. Later Drew.

I agree with the statement around the Guard - I do think they ar for real as well!

Matter a fact - I would guess from what I see or hear (let me rephrase that what I DO NOT hear or see) on the following teams I would guess represent the BEST of the NIFL (or what ever league they play in 2007)?

Fayetteville Guard (past 2 years great football, hardly any negative floating)
Lakeland Thunderbolts (slight set back with GM - seems owners have what it takes)
Osceola Football (other than the Outlaws name thing, owners seem solid)
RiverCity Rage (again, seems like great owners and good football)
Katy Copperheads (young but seem to have survived the first year - seems to be the only new franchise in their class to have survived - look for good things from Katy)
Billings Outlaws (seem owners have what it takes, a little questioning on the Outlaws law suit, but great football program)
Wyoming Calvary (Veteren in the group and seem to make the play off's every year, plus they financialy seem to be making it - to keep coming back)
Tri Citites Fever (from what I can see up till lately - solid franchise - what is going on now I question - coach quits before play off's?)

Looks like these make up the best of the best int he NIFL in my opinion, will they all stay?

It seems like Rapid City has a pretty solid franchise as well. They ran into some road blocks early on in the season. But it seems like they ironed out the wrinkles and really turned things around.

Beaumont has some pretty solid owners. Their attendance seems to really be picking up lately.

Any comments on these two franchises?

Read the article in today's Beaumont paper, which we have linked on the NIFL and Drillers pages of OSC. Will give you some insight into the team's history and stuggle to find a fan base. Anyone know if all the legal situations have been taken care of in RC?

According to what is being told, the Rage will host Osceola on Saturday for the Atlantic Conference Semi-final. If so, what a shame that Osceloa, a #4 seed gets a bye week and pass to the conference semi-final that both Fayetteville and the Rage had to go 13-1 to get. They got it going 8-6 and getting the luck of the draw in having to play a Cincinnati team that had a venue, then didn't have a venue, then when they were offered a chance to play the game in Florida at Lakeland, said they didn't have enought time to get players off work, etc.

Is it just me or does that last one sound like a lame excuse that is hiding something else?

I suspect it is a financing issue, but what team doesn't have those issues at this time of year.

Im sure Osceola would have rather played...Im sure the players who practiced all week would have liked to have had the cash...Also cant discount the rust factor...They havent played in what will be 3 weeks... So having a game under their belts would have helped. Oh yeah and Osceola would have won anyhow.

I have to agree with '88. Sorry about that jimbo, but what can we say. We have a large fan base on here. This is a rage thread and I will respect that but not fear it. All I can say is GO OSCEOLA and good luck Rage. And as always, GO GUARD !!!!!!!

Bet you guys didn't think I could post from TX did you? Well at least tonight I can.
