Paul allows a lot, Guardnoize, don't know why it's so important for you to see how far you can go beyond that.
One rule for all message boards is that if you have a problem or disagreement with an Admin or a Mod, you don't bring it up on the board. Contact them directly through a PM or E-mail.
It's too bad you can't take some friendly hints.

guardnoize is going to take a forced break from the board until he stops the personal attacks and vulgar content. He needs to realize that he represents more than just himself on the boards.

Mr. Reeths, how will you know when he's decided to stop?

He's welcome to come back after the ban has expired. He'll know how long it is when he visits next. If he can't clean up his posts, the next ban may be permanent.

sounds fair, he was acting childish, he was warned and he continued. He's lucky the mod is nice enough to even give him a second chance.

I appreciate that. We try. This is sports, and we can understand a certain amount of over-exuberance at times, but we expect all fans to be respectful of others. There is a point at which trash talk becomes abusive and no fun for anyone.

GW you can go and see what the guy said, but some posts could have been deleted. GuardNoise is a character and loves talking trash. He even does it all the time the visiting team is in the Crown. I am sure you will see him on here again, if not, definately at the Crown. He's a big Cowboy fan and really likes football and takes it seriously. He's probably one of the top Guard fans you will get to meet. The noise makers in the Crown came from him and several of his posse', I think. Later Drew.

The funny part about that is...You cant keep anyone off here...Like he couldnt go get another screename and start posting.
It's not that hard to figure out, believe me. As an admin. you have special powers. Usually you don't even need those to figure it out.
No one wants to ban people, so sometimes other names are watched closely and given the benefit of the doubt.
Yes, you can make it very difficult for someone to sign up again, if that's your intent.
Paul runs a great board for all of us to enjoy. I'm not sure why someone would want to cause problems?

jimbo, he did just that, and we've banned that user name as well. I don't have anything against him, but I do expect him to heed the rules of the board just like everyone else. This should be a fun place for all, and no one should have to worry about vulgar language or personal attacks when they visit. I don't think that's too much to ask.
fwp, thank you for the kind words. We do our best.

Hey Paul, you can just look at the IP address of a suspicious user and see if it is the same one as a banned user right?

tony-o, it's not that easy. There are a variety of ways that a user can fool an IP trace. Details not included for obvious reasons.

You could not only ban someone's name but ban his IP address aswell. That way you know, if they come back, they are desperate and have no life as they went out of their way to another connection to the internet to bother y'all.

I have 3 computers myself so the IP thing is easy to get around as well. Thats some screwball stuff with Osceola vs. Cincinati.

PREETHS: Thank you for finally taking out the garbage. When people start calling one another out and getting downright belligerent, it's time to clean house. As for him returning as a new user, I'm sure he would start showing his true colors in short order. Guard Nation: good luck in the playoffs, you guys have a great fan base and are cool to post with.
