Western Division

Katy over Wyoming - Katy has had an easy schedule so far and has not gotten the credit they deserve. Wyoming isn't that good on the road so I give the nod to Katy.

Tri-Cities over Beaumont - They already beat them at home, not to mention beating Billings and having a close loss to Rapid City. Home Field wins for Tri here

Eastern Division

Lakeland over Montgomery - Lakeland will dominate this game because they know how to play in the big games; exp. Win over Fayetteville. They already beat Montgomerty so this won't be a problem for them

Osceola over Cincinnati - Osceola is the most underrated team in the NIFL. They lost 5 games by a total of 12 points, including a win on the road at Cincinnati. They will beat Cincinnati and show that they are a team to be reckoned with.

One problem- Katy is playing Beaumont and Tri-cities is playing Wyoming

But I do agree Katy over whoever and Tri-Cities over Wyoming

You did mean Katy over to Beaumont right. Drillers looking for a big win this Saturday.

Good to see someone start up a thread like this... I was going to start one myself soon. Here goes...

ATLANTIC CONFERENCE

(4) Osceola at (5) Cincinnati- Despite this game being played in Cincinnati, Osceola will still manage to come out on top... Osceola 55, Cincinnati 38

(6) Montgomery at (3) Lakeland- Lakeland's been a bit shaky as of late. They did beat Osceola by 21 points a couple of weeks ago, but only after a big fourth quarter. That might work against them later, but for now, they'll easily take care of Montgomery... Lakeland 62, Montgomery 27

PACIFIC CONFERENCE

(5) Wyoming at (4) Tri-Cities- First, they get owned by Billings, and now, their coach resigns. Things were going so well for Tri-Cities before all that. I smell an upset by Wyoming for the second straight week... Wyoming 59, Tri-Cities 53

(3) Katy at (6) Beaumont- Hope copperheadfans.com doesn't hate on me, but I think Katy's a bit overrated. They'll win this one, but it won't really be a blowout... Katy 54, Beaumont 41

Thanks NIFL for stellar job of schueduling and getting the word out to teams in such a timely fashion. Sucks when teams work all year for their plaoff positioning and home field advantage only to lose it because of a schueduling conflict. All of this could have been prevented if teams knew from the get go how the plaoffs would shape up. I may have spelt schueduling wrong...oh well. Like I have said before Ive seen rec softball leagues run better. But this is all new news to no one.

pacific conference

katy at beaumont- even though katy has the unfortunate task of having to travel after they earned a home playoff game won't matter in the long run.
KATY 57, BEAUMONT 39

wyoming at tri-cities- having your coach resign days before your opening rd. game sounds like a set-up for defeat to me. i also like the idea of wyoming upsetting tri-cities on the road but in a nip and tuck game that will be won in the 4th quarter.
WYOMING 47, TRI-CITIES 44

atlantic conference

osceola at cincinnati- again in this case unfortunately because of scheduling conflicts osceola has to travel all the way to cincinnati for the first round. again though i like the road team based on the fact that i sat and watched earlier in the season osceola come very close to beating my GUARD, so i know this team is capable of winning on the road. coupled with cincy's bad showing against a mediocre greensboro team last week i felt this as a no-brainer.osceola is definently better then their record and will prove that on saturday.
OSCEOLA 58, CINCINNATI 31

montgomery at lakeland- the game im the most focused on, since we get the winner. of course i would be an idiot not to say that i want lakeland to come here and get the rematch against the team that pinned the only loss on us. well im no idiot because ill say that im 110% sure that this was the easiest game to pick for this weekend, the other three could bounce anyway for those teams but we all know that mont. is not in lakelands league this year no matter how they slice it or hype themselves up. look forward to welcoming lakeland to fayetteville on the 16th.
LAKELAND 62, MONTGOMERY 27

ps: no matter what happens in the playoffs, i would like to say from this guard fan that i wish all fans of these playoff teams and the ones who earned their due byes, GOOD LUCK AND LET THE HARD HITTING AND EXCITING SCORING GET UNDER WAY. but of course gotta say for sure
GO GUARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Katy @ Beaumont - Will Beaumont's unearned homefield advantage get them a victory in this matchup? Not a freakin' chance. Katy 61, Beaumont 38

Wyoming @ Tri-Cities - Things are falling apart for Tri-Cities. However, I'm having trouble picking against the defending champ. TC 45, Wyoming 39

Montgomery @ Lakeland - Montgomery was saved earlier in the season by CS but that didn't make them a better team. Lakeland 62, Montgomery 46

Cincinatti vs. Osceola in the NIFL Headquarters Parking Lot/"Open-air Arena" - Neither team was able to host the playoff game last time I checked. That issue is overshadowing this game. In the end, it doesn't matter who wins because the winner will get there butts kicked by River City in the second round. But really I think it might be close. Osceola 40, Cincinatti 28

My picks are as follows:

Katy is the better team here, hope the arena is friendly to them. I feel they will have something to prove to all of us on here and back in Katy. Look out RC as you might get bitten here shortly.
Katy 62 Drillers 38

Tri-Cities has had some problems with their staff or so it seems, but I have to concur that they should win easily. I think they or Katy will come out on top in the Pac. Conf.
TC 56 Cavs 28

Osceola is a bit of a sleeper in the East and I think they can also beat the River Rage on the road, but that is as far as it goes.
O's 51 Cincy 21

Lakeland has been pretty lucky this year and if the "D" for Monty comes thru this will be a good game, if not it will be a long ride home. Going out on a limb here.
Maulers 42 Bolts 35

i was a little off on the drillers score we flat shut them down ---- and looks like lakeland may not be that tough --- looks good for the guard
