Pitch count?

What is the pitch count for this league's pitchers? I just read that a pitcher went the distance with a pitch count of 154. You could blow out an arm doing that.

I have always been under the impression that a starting pitcher should only throw like 120 pitches....I guess a lot of it depends on the pitcher and if he is prone to injury.

Over 100 pitches is usually the norm. That's not to say that it hasn't happened before,a large pitch count. It's just not good for any pitcher's arm at any level.

Concerned. In the last 3 weeks I've seen 3 pitchers leave the mound for injuries and I see that more are on the DL. What type of warm up protocol is there?
