The owner of the new Little Rock team also owns six NIFL teams (doesn't say which ones)
I knew the sleazebags would cross paths eventually.
So maybe the Little Rock owner's movie WOULD be "Dumb and Dumber"

Can anyone tell me one NIFL team he owns? Additionally, a Google search on "Charles Wilkerson" in conjunction with "Trade Links" and BarterAmericas turns up nothing.

I would guess that is Not true... The only person who might own more than 3-4 teams would be CS herself and her group.... No one else owns more than 2 teams. Now he might be an investor in those teams.. But not own them.

Just got off the phone with Mr. Wilkerson. He is the new owner of the Arkansas Stars and says that he owns five other NIFL teams that have not been placed yet (i.e. expansion teams). He also said that the Stars played the Louisiana Swashbucklers this weekend. He was aware that they played in another league, but said he didn't know anything else about them. "They were a team the league sent to play us," he said. He was also unaware that the real Swashbucklers played at home against Odessa at the same time the fake ones were playing the Stars.

Multiple-team ownership has not exactly been the surest path to NIFL success. All we have to do is look at TIPS, CSM, Gadsden/HP and LaMunyon for examples of how its gone terribly wrong. I wonder how many other "expansion franchises" the NIFL has floating around out there and how many were paid for. If teams weren't paying to get in this season, as the evidence suggests, why would others pay to get into the league in future years? BTW, when ownership has to vote on issues, does this mean that Wilkerson essentially has six votes?

Can someone please compare his DL photo to HP? This league reminds me of some of my casino friends. When they are losing they start betting double then double again. Just like them, the NIFL continues to make one bad bet after another. Double and triple ownership has not worked so now the right "bet" is SIX teams. As Don King says "Only in America".
"They were a team the league sent to play us," he said. When this hits the fan he may find out like the mess with HP and the previous Stars owner with the $10,000 check for sales that the league "only just suggested" that the LA team play. They really did not send anyone. Mr. Wilkerson, welcome to the NIFL. Sir, I know nothing about you and have no reason to question why you want SIX teams. While I truely wish you the best, I do have some advise on life in the NIFL: Be afraid , be very afraid!!

Now I hear that the guy's put an ABA team in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Same place the Stars are based.
I think he's up to something...

Same old, same old (for both leagues) -- either a con man or someone incredibly stupid. And the final result is usually disaster.

It sounds like Poor Mr. Wilkerson is being taken for a ride

One team is hard enough to manage in minor league sports. Can you imagine trying to juggle eight between these two leagues?

If the guy has MILLIONS of DOLLARS to blow...
it wouldn't be an issue. He could HIRE people to MANAGE them.
It's a matter of $$$ vs. time.

Theoretically, yes. But if he had a lot of money, would he have teams in these two leagues?

If I had enough money I would own two teams...but right now, I can't even own a portion of 1:( HUFF.
I think that most owners have an interest in other sports...this may be the case

Depends what his intentions are.
Although I don't see the sense in it, if someone had aspirations to own and run leagues at this level, these leagues could possibly be considered a good buy.
Both are damaged, so the price couldn't be high(should be cheap). Any improvements that new management brought in would or should immediately increase the value.
Could be a speculator's dream.
At least that's the way it works in the real world. Not necessarily in the indoor football world.

The only problem is you end up fighting so many fires beyond your control that you end up looking bad in the process. Look what happened in Fayetteville. The Guard tries to do things right, and they get ripped because visiting teams don't fulfill their end of the bargain by showing up for games. There are some things that aren't worth it, no matter the price.

Far from it. Have you seen how many articles this season have questioned the league and some of the competition sent in to face teams? This is more of a widespread problem than one writer. With or without the media, the fans know a dog game when they see it as well.
