Lineup: With a team batting avg. of .234 (not one .300 hitter), and only 10 homeruns, opposing pitchers must look forward to facing this lineup. They only bright spots are second baseman Clemente Bonilla (.297 avg. with 16 steals) and Doug Schutt (16 steals). There have been a number of changes recently and of the 45 errors committed, 18 went with those released. Bonilla and the outfield have played well defensively.

Pitching: A lot changes and only Mlotkowski and Simms remain from the original rotation. The addition of Andrew Cofey should help. Brian Beuning has done well. oponets are hitting .143 off him and he has 25 strikeouts in 24 innings of work.
