Hmm... I'm thinking replacement players were involved in this.

Yep, Florida had more pressing arrangements apparently, so they sent a semipro team from Savannah, slapped together earlier on Saturday, in their place. finatic, you mention a great crowd. How many were left when the game kicked off after a two-hour delay?

even witha 2 hour delay people hung arround to the game. Turn out for kickoff was over 2000. most people stayed well past halftime and there was still plenty of people ther at the end of the game. yes, thanks to a car raffle in teh last 2 minutes of play. AJ (the MC for the Sandsharks) held the whole show together and the 2 hour delay didn't seem that bad. there were singing and dancing acts and plenty of games being plus tons of give-aways being thrown out to the fans.

Yes, it was a replacement team, initial turnout was approx. 800, which dwindled to a few hundred very quickly. Nice try on the pr front.

it was the savannah warriors...but, regardless they were filling in for the no-show frenzy...so to me they were the florida frenzy. i know why florida did'nt come, but they were tied with us and montgomery for the #6 seed....and they would'nt come...if i was a florida fan, i would be highly pissed because the fans were left out to dry....but who cares...we won and want the #6 seed. our guy aj did a great job and very few if any people left before kickoff....around the 4th quarter people started dwindling out....and yes we had a great turnout and had fun....good move on behalf of ownership to give 50% off ticket sales this week with stub from saturday!!! yooouuuu've bbeeeeen shhharrked!

Anyone else notice that Oronde Gadsden is involved with both Charleston and the no-show Frenzy? According to http://www.floridafrenzy.com/news/?id=5690, he is the Florida GM, and according to the Charleston paper, is supposed to be a part owner of the Sandsharks. Maybe he didn't feel it was important enough to send one of his teams up to play the other. Looks like he's doing the same thing he did last year with Miami. If Sandsharks fans want to know who to blame for the two-hour delay and inferior competition, look no further than your own ownership.

Had a feeling it must have been a replacement team as The real team would have won easily. Nothing like a 2 hour delay and a replacement team to build a fanbase. Anyhow thanks actually for winning..That ensures that in no possible way can Osceola slip to 6th. Since now you will probably be 6th.. We have tiebreaker on you after slapping your team around a few months ago. Now just need Greensboro to step up and beat Cincinati so we can smack them around down here vs the team having to go up there to slap them around (again).
