Thought an update was in order, so here goes. Unfortunately, we've has some downward movement on the bottom of the rankings since the last update. Again, here are the criteria:

a) Team folded during season: 5 points
b) Team no longer playing home or road games (1): 4 points
c) Team forced to change ownership during season (2): 3 points
d) Team has or is drawing less than 1,000 for a home game: 2 points
e) Other negative stories hitting the local media: 1 point

(1) Includes teams replaced by semipro squads, (revision) also includes teams which have skipped games
(2) Not all ownership changes are penalized, only those in which the team was struggling

If a team scores on one of the higher categories, such as "Team no longer playing home or road games" for 4 points, it cannot score on a lower one.

I'm surprised the IFL would be as high. But that makes sense. AIFL has strength in numbers, nothing more.

Both the IFL and UIF have seen minimal problems so far this season, and the GLIFL isn't that far behind.

I think you should make those points worth ten, and add 2 points everytime a team gives up 100 or gets shutout. And also a point for every time a team gives up 90 or scores less than 10.

As that can be a big indicator in the strength of a league.

You make a good point in that obvious semipro replacement teams should be penalized, but I think we're getting all of them with fours and fives anyway.
