Now I might actually be able to take the Amtrak to an AIFL game.

Interesting market but it has been tainted by past failures. Not sure they will support another endevour. Didn't the Fireants, at least in the old NIFL days, have black turf with yellow yardlines?

What was the gimmick that the Fire Dogs used in Tupelo during the IPFL years?
Maybe if the team actually draws people based upon football this time someone will show up. That poor town has been abused by almost every league from the AFL down to the NIFL.

The Fire Dogs played in Biloxi.
You're thinking of the Fire Ants, who played in the NIFL for three years (gasp!) and the UIF for one year.
Anyway, my choice for team names:
Danville Jailbirds (crime rate)
Tupelo Rockers (Elvis' birthplace)

If memory serves me correctly A.H. owned the Syracuse Soldiers and ran that team into oblivion. So people in Danville....hold on to your wallets!!!

Haines owned most the teams before selling them off. And most of which he did a piss poor job of running, too. Steubenville is the poster child for why not to have league-run teams if the league doesn't intend to actually run them.

mississippi especially north mississippi will never rally behind their teams unless it is a spitting contest or a watermelon festival

Tupelo has never supported indoor football. Haines owns the Danville team...get ready PA. Cardinals, Philly Scorpions, to fill the schedule out at the end of the year when they stop paying players.

The Columbus Blackhawks and Philadelphia Scorpions weren't there because of the league. Steubenville and Reading scheduled them on their own when the league failed to be able to provide an opponent.

Exactly they were there because the league failed to provide what they had promised. Andrew follows the rules to the letter....except when it has to do with him or his wallet.
