Hi, I can't believe the games are not publisized more! It is the most fun I have ever had! My first ever live sporting event was the Greensboro Revolution vs Florida Frenzy. I had a blast! I had never even heard about a team being nearby. I saw an Arena game on SAT TV and it was allot more exciting then regular football. I checked online to see if there was any teams around and found the Revolution just 50 minutes away. One game and I was hooked! My son(16) and I also went to the game Saturday against the Maulers. It was disappointing to lose in overtime. But I had fun anyway. We were in the "battlefield" for both games.(son likes being close to the cheerleaders) That's fun but I think I'll get a seat for the July 1st game so I'll have a cup holder. :D I wish I had found out earlier. I missed most of the season.:( I think I'll get season tickets for next season. This maybe a stupid question but are season tickets only for home games?

Don't get hooked to the Revolution or the NIFL quite yet. I doubt G'boro will see another season as the Revolution. You're better off with Fayetteville lol.
The history of the NIFL is not a shining one, but enjoy the games while you can.

Never buy season tickets to the NIFL.
Buy them one game at a time, it might save you a lot of money.

Designer,
Good to hear another G'boro fan on this board. I too live about 30 to 40 minutes away from G'boro. If you make it to the game on July 1st, come a little early and tailgate with the season ticket holders before the game. I'm the guy with the Steelers truck that parks on the side of the Coliseum facing Coliseum Drive. Look for the big American Flag.
I'm also the guy that wears the white Tuxedo jacket to the game in the front row by the two leather recliners.
As far as season tickets it's a good deal, the tickets are discounted and you also recieve a parking pass. The parking pass alone will save you $35 on the season.

Thanks for the invite Guardnoise, I'd love to see other NC teams but Fayetteville is too far for me to drive home that late. I'm 50 min north of Greensboro.
JackDiesel, I saw you at both games I attended. My son and I were right across the field from you. We were standing in the battlefield area next to the players box. Next to the injured quarterback. Does the face painted cow bell guy post here too? Can't wait for the next game. I hope they don't go anywhere.

THey aren't publicized because 90% of the PR people are either lazy or plaiung it safe to make sure the game isn't cancelled and the commercials and ads wasted.

Speakin of the face painted cow bell man. What a great guy. He was up here to see the Guard play and he stuck with the team the whole way. I went over and had a fews words after the game with him. I am not sure if he post on here or not. He may not even know anything about the board

Win at least one of your games with Cincinati...That would unsure us the no 4 seed. Its the least you all could do after what your owner Ron Piroshki or whatever did last year (he used to own tbe Kissimmee Kreatures now Osceola)

Funny you say that because the Kissimme logo is on our home balls. Must have had some left and to cheap to by new ones with G'boro logo. I think we can win atleast one if not both games. Sorry about what happened up there last year. He's not doing much better of a job down here.

The face painting cow bell (AKA They Hate Me) tailgates with us before the games. He doesn't post here because he's not smart enough to use a computer. You need to stop by. Bring your son he's welcome, we don't get out of hand. ( They don't) I might though.

If youre lucky someone will buy the team from him then it may have a chance of doing well.. Seems like that team could do well...Good arena , good area, seems to be some fan interest without much promotional work im sure. The guys who took Osceola from him did a nice job of turning things around here.

His name is Tony Pewonski. He is one of the worst owners in league history (and that is saying something) by owning 3.5 teams in 2005 and practically running them into the ground with his ownership group Centurion Sports. He has since folded the Daytona Beach Hawgs and Dayton Warbirds and sold the Kissimmee Kreatures(now the Osceola Football) and his share in the Lakeland Thunderbolts. He now owns the Greensboro Revolution, but they don't seem to have many problems.

Can't really say too many bad things about Anthony, He's only made a few mistakes here. A majority of the fans are the few faithful Prowler fans still hungry for football. If they'd do more advertising who knows how many fans we could have?!! Hopefully there will be a next season for us. Things could really turn around next season. (More fans, better team, etc.)

Got my tickets! section 109 so we will be close to the cow bell I think. We'll try to find you guys before the game. I talked my husband into going, he's not a sports fan, hopefully he'll get hooked.
