i read a comment in the post and courier today that he said last night that he was tired of playing weak teams....talk about being a arrogant prick. if you are tired of playing "weak" teams take your ass to another level like the nfl, or afl.....or does anyone even want you? yes...that was a dominating performance, but let me tell you....you can act like you are untouchable right now....but when a team comes in and runs over your ass that confidence is gonna be a slap in your face....try not to be an arrogant prick in the next article gunnings.

Finatic....all I can say about you is WOW!......you seem to have alot of pent up frustrations/hostilities......the coach gunnings comment, the wing comment and the comment about #1Guard.......calm down, it really is not THAT serious.

Finatic, Just let this roll off your back man. Gunnings you have to admit was looking for a tougher team to show up. Even I told several people that you guys were one of the few teams that were beating us at half time in any game. I expected us to win but not by that kind of margin. Charleston has or at least had a great team earlier and still can make the playoffs so that is were I would focus my attention on from here on out. You have a real tough game coming against Montgomery as they are on a mission. Should we beat them and you win also the weekend of the 4th I think you guys are in. Don't let the press get under your skin, and tell your team's office to get the stats in so you guys can proceed in post season.

Get a better team... Charleston just aint good man...Sorry but its true..Happens to alot of first year teams...Either that and/ or they fold. This is how it works...Ok someone decides to start a team...They hire a staff (and dont pay them) ..They hire coaches..Secure and arena (sometimes) .. Then the coaching staff holds open tryouts...Usually a bunch of local semi pro guys show up...high school guys who think they would have went on to stardom if the coach would have played them more...And some local JC guys or D2 or D3 college guys..So they go out there see what they have...Think they have a decent team...Why? Because they have no basis of comparison...It isnt til they start league play that they get the rude awakening that you need to actually know people..Have contacts..Recruit..Scout..You have to almost treat this like a college team..You have to go out there and find good players..Not just wait and see who comes to you..The top players for this level will not come find you because other people are out there finding them.
So tell your team if they continue to exsist..Go out and find you some players...South Carolina is a big football state..There should be no shortage of talent out there. Also this is the time of year when teams bolster their roster by signing players from folded teams or other leagues.. Which is probably why your team is getting their collective heads kicked in even worse than earlier in the season.

charleston aint good? look at all of our games we played this season with the exception of last night...in the 4th quarter we were in the game. last night was the only game we looked bad in and got beat bad. we had 2 weeks....2 weeks to get a team together and look at charleston....we may make the playoffs. that is damn good for a group of guys that only had two weeks. all of our top players were hurt last night...eddie miller, scooter johnson, earl cameron played little, terrance bennett.....everyone is banged up. i think things in charleston will be fine......and jimbo you said that most teams get has-beens or high school guys, or even semi-pro guys....i guess you are suggesting that a team with these guys can't win or be successful....i guess the guard is all nfl caliper players or former college standouts....get real...wilmont perry is a washed up has been from cape fear, and i'm sure fayetteville will fall early in the playoffs

Unless you have some D1 or D2 college guys or former CFL , NFL, or AFL in key positions you probably wont be very sucessful. Semi pro is semi pro for a reason. These are pretty much guys who are playing for the fun of it. You gotta have a few guys who are trying to move up to high leagues..You know be seen..Or guys on the way down..Who may have had careers but are not ready to call it quits just yet.
As for your team lets see... You beat Arkansas.. they suck, Greensboro...They suck, Osceola beat you easily..I know you will say it was 40-29..But it was 31-0 when Coach Smith called of the dogs and let you all back in it...By the way ..I do the sound fx and stuff for Osceola..I had a great time goofing on your team...Especially the moron who was dancing in the endzone to make the score 31-6..Ok back to business...Then you lost to Greensboro? Eek!, Squeaked by Florida..Decent win..Got smacked by Fayetteville..No surprise there..Beat Dayton...whoppee do, Got beat easily by Lakeland..again no surpirse, but powerhouse Akransas...WOW!, lost to Montgomery, and then got destroyed by Fayetteville...Sorry but you guys are average at best..You can beat are the garbage teams but dont have a chance in hell to beat any of the good teams...

Finatic, I hope you are just trying to get a rise out of me with some of your last comments. Here I have tried to be a good guy and respect you and the team from down under and you say that Wilmont is a has been and you want us (Guard) to exit early. Come on man, get over last night, lick the wounds, which will heal with time, and get on with what matters. Could #1 Guard Fan be right? Lots of luck with your new team seeing how it appears that you have left the sharks. And yes, I do concur with Jimbo your wins were against teams that should not even tried to play with the top tier of this league. I considered your team at one time to have the possibility of greatness, maybe they will heal and show us something the last week of the season against the Maulers, my bet is you get another butt kicking and all of your fan base goes to hell in a hand basket, and you will be back on here complaining or crying about coulda, woulda or shoulda again. Later Drew.

See how well they would do if you put them on the SandSharks...Wouldnt be pretty...Ask some of the other semi pro replacement guys...I can only site on example...Ask the Gulf Coast Raiders...Who played for the Maulers in Osceola.. They were 9-1 in their semi pro league...Lost to Osceola 72-12...And believe me it couldve been worse..I think Coach Smith was damn near pulling fans out of the stands to play against them...

this weekend up in Fay'ville wasn't that bad. yeah we got our asses kicked. and kicked bad for that matter. but in this league you must remember showing up is half the battle. so, respect to the players on the field. if not for them we would all be standing in the parking lot. they actually played (yes, played bad, but played none the less)
The game was a blowout. i was embarassed buy that game. i we do have a better team than that. just not that night. respect to the guard, and then fans.
p.s. somebody owes me $49.00 i could get drunk enough to take away that beating. who's covering my tab? thanks! cheers!!!

I think the article may have been mis read. I think Coach Gunning was not talking about the SHarks more about the other teams from weeks past. Aka semi-pro fill in teams

#1GF, you are probably right. More than likely the comment was from over a week ago right after the game or just before the game with the sharks.
Gunnings was stating an opinion, which he, as an American citizen, is allowed to do. That along with the comment being printed in the paper is one of the principles our country was founded upon. A freedom that both you and I have fought for or worn a uniform to protect. Just like this forum here, we can get upset with one another, but still in the end we have that right to do so.
Anyhow, Finatic when you do come back on here, make sure the cone is pointing the right way when you exit the ship, you know rats leave as they are afraid of the water, though you might still be able to swim seeing how you did hang in there with the sharks for awhile. Good luck with those high school kids on your new team, and this time it looks like YOU have been SHARKED!!!!!
