CHL back to Topeka; Indy out?

Looks like Indy maybe getting their wish to move to the UHL? Horn Chen would then transfer Indy's CHL rights to Topeka. We should know more by the end of the week.

The local paper and television station here in Wichita made the possibility of the Thunder moving to Topeka sound a lot more likely than the Topeka Capitol-Journal article did...

The Expo center representative responded by saying Topeka wouldn't be a pawn or a bargaining tool for Wichita to hammer out a new deal here....

The manager of the Kansas Coliseum here in Wichita comes across as somewhat of a jerk.... Laying the blame on the Thunder's minor red ink as attendance... And not the fact that they pay $6400 a game to the arena .. Of which the arena makes about $3700 in profit a game...

This compared to the around $2500 they pay in Tulsa...

Calls have been made to the Wichita arena head... A lower profit from the Wichita Thunder is better than an empty arena...

It would be great to see Topeka have hockey back, but I'd hate for it to steal the team from Wichita. Guess we'll just have to see what happens!
