Is this a new expansion team for the GLIFL?

Interesting... I wonder exactly where they are playing?
I'm sure they are not trying to play in the city of Detroit, or at the Palace of Auburn Hills... both arenas are too big.
One of the suburbs? Plymouth? Macomb County?

Maybe where the UHL team played, Frasier?

As much as I would like to see a team close to home, I don't think GLSC-Superior in Fraser would be viable. The scoreboard is fixed over center ice and is way too low. I'm not exactly sure how high it is but I know many kicked balls would bounce off of it, or even the roof. Plymouth would be a better alternative. With the Plymouth Whalers and Detroit Ignition playing there the winter is pretty full. There is much more time available during the time the GLIFL plays. Althought outdated, this is the best picture that I could find of the inside of GLSC-Superior (click on the "rennovations" link):

BTW. The link redirects to the GLIFL site. Was there an actual site for the team at one point? This is the first I have heard about them.

the low scoreboard is a problem in many venues.
kickers just learn to kick around them.
With a seating capacity over 4000, it sounds perfect for GLIFL

I found out from GLIFL.com that this was a team meant to play in 2006 but didn't get finished. It's not clear if they are trying to play in 2007 or not, but most likely not.

Do you think the teams with a low scoreboard/roof have a home arena advantage over teams that come from arenas with more room? If a team plays home games without the issue, I would think it would be hard to adjust when they play on the road.
GLSC-Superior seats about 3,400 including the bleachers that the Motor City Mechanics installed before their first season.
