Anybody out there collecting ABA souvenirs?

Do you mean stuff like unused game tickets, empty promises, and the comic stylings of Joe Newman?

I still have plenty of stuff from my former team, along with some odds and ends given to me by some owners.

The problem with collecting is that the majority of teams are not budgeted to buy shirts, hats, etc. to sell. Most only offer what is on the ABAlive site - which is overseen by, I believe, one of Joe's daughters (as opposed to the daughter-in-law who runs ABA Salute).

I have a number of them--from the original league as well as this one. Mostly balls.

I have some memorabilia from the 2006 ABA Great Eight tournament, including game programs, stats sheets, and two championship tournament patches that were supposed to be sewn onto the competing teams' jerseys. Plus about 400 photos from the tournament, two of which appeared on minorleaguenews.com's story of the tournament, and one that later appeared on the Strong Island Sound's website.

I used to have a shoe box full of old ABA basketball cards, but my mom threw them out. Now I have to work for a living.
