Joe Kolodziej [buffaloprohockey@yahoo.com] is looking at putting a new team (NOT moving N. Mich. Preds) in the Buffalo, NY, area. It hasn't been determined which league the new team would play, but it certainly WON'T be the IIHL.

I always thought the Buffalo Wings was a cool name. Is there anyone left in roller hockey that would prevent its use? I didn't care for the dinosaur logo of the RHI team, but I'm sure there are plenty of alternatives for logos for a team by this name.

The NBA Buffalo Braves was OK too.

Just as long as an actual buffalo does not appear in the logo. That's been beat to death by the Bills, Bison, and Sabres.

Buffalo Wings is, most definitely, still protected under copyright registration. In fact, the registration was just renewed this month.

How about the Buffalo Knights? (Buffalo being known as the "city of lights".) You could have the name writen in old fashioned scoreboard lights with a black backgroud.

Or my favorite......Barrells....spelling could be wrong....logo would be a barrell going over niagra falls.
