..pretty clear Hunter got pushed out. He's a western guy, and the "new CBA" isn't going to have many (if any) Western teams.
..my guess (and it is only a guess) is that the western teams leave, and the CBA is reformed with eastern teams for lower costs and travel. Maybe something like Gary, Rockford, Michigan, Albany, Rochester, Buffalo and one or two other new teams.

I read that Hunter had a clause in his contract allowing him to get an expansion team without having to pay an expansion fee. The article implied that he'll act as a Bud like clone- running a team and the league (behind the scenes).

It's also my understanding that Gary Hunter will own a CBA team for the upcoming season. I don't know the part about him running the league from behind the scenes though.
