AIFL is not paying the bills
Players and Coaches not been paid up to date. No place to practice outstanding bills due. AIFL is killing this team. Why cant this league get it together. Never good news in this league!!!!

Did Raleigh board the bus to Viperland for their April 1st game?

OK it's time to call this one.
Where's the official word something's wrong? I went to Google News typed in "aifl raleigh" and found NOTHING official.

If something is truly wrong the AIFL won't release a statement until the 11th hour which would be approximately 4 hours before game time tomorrow (my estimate).
I estimate if something is wrong right now, the coaches may be scrambling to recruit a new team and to board a waiting bus for those players that walked or may be trying to plead to the players to go another week.
That is my guess-timate if the rumors are true...which have appeared on this board this past week to be quite frank and direct.
Remember, accurate comments about the Ghostriders appeared here first before something was released by the AIFL.

Oh, I know that, but SOMEBODY in the media would have gotten wind of this and reported SOMETHING by now.
That's why I have my doubts. Could be wrong.

I don't think anyone in the media cares a bit about the Rebels, though.

Media always cares about bad news.
Case study: Asheville. :P

True...but Asheville also covered the opening press conference of the team. But yeah, you're right...train wrecks are always more fun to write about.

Raleigh took the bus yesterday, had a good nights rest and are ready to play today. Everything has been fixed in Raleigh!:D

the coaches and players have been paid, they have a place to practice, and outstanding bills have been handled? If so, even more than a win, I'd say they've turned the corner. Wins mean nothing.

Glad to hear the team got paid and everything (hopefully) is back on track in Raleigh. I don't think the league wants another Ghostriders situation taking place with the Rebels.
I really hope Haines & Co. see these situations and moderate thier expansion plans for next season. Make sure all the teams are solid, committed organizations andmake sure they all have equipment BEFORE the season starts.

Maybe Raliegh can come to the NIFL next year. It would give them a lot more teams closer to them and it would help the NIFL teams too. Just some food to think about

As I understand it, Raleigh is now owned by the same group that owns Rome... and Rome left the NIFL to join the AIFL...

So the Rome Owners are buying Raleigh? When did this happened? From everything that I have heard the Gades would never return to the NIFL.

You are correct! The Gades will never return to the NIFL. Sorry, but we have been there and bought the t-shirt.:p
