It seems yesterday's game was more competitive; the Aces were held to less than 3-digit scores and allowed more than single-digit scores.

Aces fans:

I'll be road-tripping to my first NIFL game next week when the Aces host the Katy Copperheads. Does anyone have any recommendations for cool restaurants or bars near the arena for before or after the game?

Sandfords is a good place to grab a bite. (I used to live in Rapid, but have been gone a few years.) I'd check the program and see if there is an official after-game party spot. I'd hit those when they were at Bostons and it was a good time.

My suggestion...pay for tickets in the first 3 rows, or try and move down during the game. The arena doesn't have great sitelines, and you'll get alot more out of the trip if you're close.

Rocky is right it is better if your in the front few rows otherwise you can't see part of the field. The Aces have put on a show that is 10 times better than the old Red Dogs did with fireworks and good halftime entertainment. Sanfords is good and has a cool atmosphere as well. The after game party is still at Boston's which is a nice sports bar. Everynight of the week they have happy hour from 10pm til close and have great drink specials and half price appitiezers. Hope you enjoy your stay in rapid and enjoy the game. Make sure to let us know how you liked it.
